Simple, easy to install and adds great handling to your firearm!
Got one of these for my RIA 1911 .45 which has the smooth front strap piece. Thought I might like having finger grooves to help stabilize the recoil of the big bore gun. I have medium sized hands and this didn't add enough width to my gun to make it uncomfortable to handle..as a matter of fact, it fit my hands much better. I use G10 grips with mine and the feel and grip is great. I had to trim a little off the sides but that was no issue. Overall, this is great! It's moderate but not perfect.
It's worth it for its purpose but it give the gun a bigger deal and depending on how you would prefer your gun thick or slim it as a little extra width to the handle so you might want to test out a few guns at a local shop that might have similar to test the feel because it dose make a big difference. But it changes the whole look as well kinda more coller and realistic like a bad ass gun. Especially if you modify your 1911. But the only problem I did have was the side flaps were not that we'll made or just a bad molding but the flaps don't fit perfect and have to be adjusted and fit to be even and even after that you might have to cut the excess rubber hanging out from under the side panels and even than it still dose not sit flush but I have my grips even up with each other so it dose not make a huge difference but it fits it's purpose giving it grip.Read full review...

Works just as designed!
Improves the grip when the front strap is smooth - made of flexible rubber, but gives a much better hold on the 1911 I put it on. Simply remove the grips, align the holes, and put the grips back on. There is a little excess rubber sticking out from under the grip in places, but if I had a burning desire I could trim the excess easily. I have the Pearce Grips on 45 and 38 Super calibers, and the grips help stabilize both guns. Sure, you can put on grip tape, but cleaning that off can be a chore. Expedient, economical Alternative to Checkering
Looking for an inexpensive, fast, and easy way to greatly increase your grip on that favorite 1911? Try a Pearce Rubber Finger Groove Insert. Checkering and stippling do the job and look cool, but both processes are expensive, time consuming to do, and permanent. And not all gunsmiths offer checkering or stippling services.

Really Good Addition to GSG 1911
This is a really good addition to my GSG 1911. The pistol fits my hand much better now. As others have said, and if your picky, you may need to trim the edges a bit. Otherwise it fits the pistol very well. I really like that you can still use what ever side panel grips you like. Similar products come with the side panel grips as part of the unit, so you're not able to add whatever side panels you prefer. Pearce grip
Installed this Pearce grip onto my Ruger sr 1911. Now perhaps I'm not as nitpicky as others but I'm thinking it looks fine. Yes a person could trim a little around the edges of panels. And yes it adds 2mm to the thickness, really? Come on. As far as I'm concerned it's fine. Not spongie but firm notches to help with grip. Lots of more expensive ways to go but I recommend trying this type before dropping big bucks unless you're into that sort of thing. I'm not putting it in an art museum after all.Read full review...

Well made, great fit for my hand, it doesn't interfere with support fingers nor the Ambi safety, Although its not cut for Ambi it can go on top of it or it can be cut to fit, I used Exacto knife and it works well, it added width to the whole grip but I prefer that as I replaced the crappy factory ones with Fatter higher quality ones..Read full review...

1911 Colt Rubber Groove Grip
A must have accessory for your 1911’s...
These rubber grips have an excellent fit to my 1911's. This is a good product that allows better grip control. With this product you can use any style wood or polymer grips, feels great on the hands and fit the fingers really well. First of all I think they make the 1911’s look awesome, the added grip feels good and it's a tight grip that's so perfect to your hand. I did have to do a little trimming so they didn't come out of grip handles. A little shaving to clean around the grip but that was easy. Overall I highly recommend these Pearce Grips to everyone. Feels better to me then having serrations. On the 3rd & 4th picture I have a different groove grip, that one is made of Rosewood w/Rubber groove already installed, of course it costs more than the Pearce Grips, I figured I’d take those two pictures so whoever sees those Pearce Grips they can see that they look has good has the Rosewood Groove Grips. If you like increased control and reduced hand fatigue when shooting, buy these. ESPECIALLY for higher recoil calibers (I put them on my 10mm).
