Better than Windows 10.

Switched from W7 to W10 at its release, but have now gone back to W7 for its less intrusive behavior. Also, W7 is not shipped with multiple Control Panels (because they weren't able to remove the old one in W10) and still has better support for old hardware. It's still of course Windows but at least a version that does more or less what I want.Read full review

Worked the first time no problems

Followed the instructions and used the links provided from their web site , absolutely no problem . I did a clean install from the dvd iso file I made using the link to the software provided. I removed all the existing partitions and just let the windows program do the rest. Lots of upgrades but that was normal. The product key was accepted a second time after I had everything installed. I was skeptical at first, thinking it was a little too good to be true. But don't let the price fool you; it is absolutely a working Windows 7 Pro activation key! It didn't work at first, so I contacted the seller to ask about what I might have done wrong. He gave me a list of common reasons for it to reject the key. Lo and behold, during setup, I had set the time zone in a different one than my WiFi network was in, and that red-flagged it. He provided details on how to wipe it out and retry, and it worked like a charm! So, make sure your time zone is right and you'll be good to go! OEM disk for installing Windows 7 32 bit (but predates service pack 1). Does the job.

Does what it says on the tin: installs Windows 7 32 bit.

The basic install does not include Service Pack 1 (SP1), so following install you will have an extended period of load updates, reboot, repeat. Allow a day for this: you don't need to sit in front of the machine all day, just look at it every hour or so to see how the updates are progressing, and reboot it as required.

Note that this is *not* an "upgrade" disk, rather it is an OEM (re)install disk. So make sure that you back up all data that you want to save on some sort of external drive before proceeding.

In particular if you are upgrading a machine from XP remember that some software was removed from W7 by Microsoft, notably Outlook Express. Check this out *before* you rebuild the XP machine! (For example migrating from Outlook Express to Thunderbird is easy on the old XP machine, much harder if you no longer have it available.)Read full review

Didn't work at first, but that's because Windows isn't very good at things at setup

When I first got these two keys, I was mildly skeptical, like any person who isn't used to ebay like me. I tested the first key in Microsoft's Windows 7 Download Tool. It said the first key was invalid and just sent an error for the second. I then tried in a virtual machine. Tada! First one didn't work but the second one did. When recording a video of it not working via control panel, the first key worked. I would recommend this product! It's much better than buying it for $200 elsewhere.Read full review

I needed the key to install W7 on a new PC to take advantage of the W10 update. The key arrived within an hour of placing the order.
