    Nikon AF-S DX18-200mm a Great Travel Lens
The Nikon 18-200mm DX is all you need for general photography. You’ll probably use it for 90% of your photographing. The other 10% you may need a wider-angled lens or a macro lens. I’ve read somewhere that this lens has lots of distortion. That may be true, but who cares? You won’t even notice it in most of your photos unless you’re obsessed with finding it. It’s a fun lens that eliminates a bag full of lenses. The VR feature is useful for hand-held pictures – you won’t need a tripod unless you’re taking pictures at night. This is an ideal travel lens for your DX Nikon. Yes it’s a little expensive, but when you think of the prime lenses it replaces, you won’t have to lug around a bunch or weight, and you’ll probably save money. This lens is always in my bag along with a 12-24mm DX wide angle and a 60mm FX macro. This makes a perfect combination for everything I shoot. By the way this lens also can go semi-macro with a ratio of 1:3 – not too shabby for a lens that covers this much territory. Save up your money and buy this lens if you want a great travel companion. I know some people who bought the 18-55 and the 55-200, lenses thinking that they’d save money. But once they tried this lens on for size, they got tired of switching lenses every minute and went ahead and bought the 18-200mm – they could have saved a couple of hundred dollars had they just bought this lens in the first place.

Nikon ED AF NIKKOR 80-200mm 1:2.8 D THE Concert Shooter’s Lens
Nikon ED AF NIKKOR 80-200mm 1:2.8 D THE Concert Shooter’s Lens Yes this was the official concert shooting lens of the late eighties to mid nineties. Made mostly of metal, it is good and hefty. It’s also one of the smallest short to mid-long telephoto f/2.8 zooms, and does not have footing for a tripod. WHY? Because you can’t take a tripod into a concert hall. Attached to an F4 or an F5 (both built like tanks), it was a formidable weapon against an unruly crowd. That’s why so few of these lenses are intact: too many have been dropped on the floor, or been used in conjunction with an F4 or F5 to ward off nasty concert fans. The ones that were used in a studio (like this one) have exceptionally great optics. Just don’t drop it on a concert floor, and you’ll have one of the most optically perfect zoom lenses available! FOCUSING & ZOOMING The auto-focus is the old style, so it’s a bit slower than today’s AF-S Auto-Focus systems, but back in the day it made it possible to get a lot more in-focus shots on precious film than by manual focus; another reason it became so popular with concert shooters. It is quick to zoom because of the push-pull style of zoom and the zoom ring is ALSO the FOCUS ring. Want to get that close-up of that lead guitarist’s monkey face? Just pull the zoom back and you’re pulling his face into your camera. You can put it in Manual Focus mode and Zoom and Focus at the same time (something that most photographers want when shooting fast moving events.) With current zooms, you sometimes forget which is the zoom and which is the focus rubber ring – that can’t happen with this lens! They’re one and the same, the zoom grip is also the focus ring. WHO NEEDS THIS LENS? This lens is a thoroughly professional tool – not made for the general photo shooter or even enthusiast. In fact it will not auto focus on just any Nikon DSLR: you will need a Nikon D7000 or higher for the AF to work. It works on any Nikon FX (Full Frame) DSLR. If you’re into shooting family photos, this is NOT the lens for you (please look elsewhere), If you’re on vacation and you want a lens to carry around all day, this lens is NOT the lens for you – it’s too heavy (unless you’re into aerobics.) If you’re a professional concert shooter, and have a professional film or DLSR, this IS the lens you NEED! It’s MUCH smaller than the current crop of VR 70-200mm f/2.8 lenses, and that makes it much less conspicuous. So what if the auto focus makes more noise than the silent wave focus system, you’re shooting at a LOUD concert anyway!

TRAVEL-SIZE CAMERA WITH AWESOME IMAGE QUALITY
Nice little travel-size camera for photographing non-moving subjects, i.e. landscapes and architecture. It's loaded with great features like sensor stabilization to make hand-held photography sharper. The image quality is excellent and there are a nice selection of lenses available now to cover any travel photography requirements. Packs away neatly in your carry-on luggages or backpack, and is so easy to use, you'll be grabbing it anytime you need a far better image than you can get with your iPhone.
