Good software, weak instructions

Better instructions would have helped. I spent two hours trying to download and activate the program, but instead got into one of those infinite loops where Microsoft keeps asking for the same information over and over again without releasing the program. Eventually I figured out you have to type in the exact setup link provided in the start up kit. For some reason if you enter their website by any other means it does allow you to download and activate the software even though it misleads you into thinking you can. Also make sure you have an existing email account and password established with Microsoft. If not, create one before doing anything else.Read full review...

This was not Genuine Microsoft Office 2013

What you sold us is not a genuine Microsoft product. The DVD should have had a hologram which was embedded throughout the DVD. This had a printed label stuck on the top Microsoft does not use printed labels. The product key did not work at the Microsoft Office website. The product key should have had an raised embedded ribbon or stripe it had a stripe printed in black ink. The box said made in USA. Microsoft did not make Office 2013 in the USA. When you advertised this you showed one image of the box from the top so no one could check it out.

Transition from Office Pro 2003 requires a lot of poking around to find frequently used features...BUT, had to do it!

Had it about a month. It's getting easier to use. Upgraded only because the momentum of the new *.DOCX, *.XLSX, etc. file formats were just too painful to keep retro-converting to the older *.DOC, *.XLS, etc. files. Collaboration was just getting too tedious/time consuming. Enhancements seem to be mostly cosmetic except for the most esoteric features...which few people even use. After consideration, many of the feature rearrangements make more sense...just wish the older layout could have been kept available with tutorials to facilitate the transition.Read full review...

OFFICE 2013 IS DEFINITELY A STEP BACKWARD FOR MICROSOFT!!!

I have been using Microsoft Office for over 25 years; It was always a good product but lately, it seems to be sliding down the slippery slope of mediiocrity; they are going backwards with this version instead of forward. They have eliminated several features like lots of great stationery and fonts and embellishments that used to set them apart from other office suites. The colors that you can pick from are Black, Grey and silver, maybe blue; there used to be a plethera of themes and colored backgrounds and creating rules used to be a lot easier and more intuitive. All the way around, I would say that they are sitting on their laurels instead of trying to be inspirational about designing their office products. What a shame.......Read full review...

Installing Office Home and Business 2013

Installation was easy, with the possible exceptions of a) the need to create a Microsoft account (even if it isn't needed), and b) one must remember to install Java (on a new computer) before trying to install the Office software. The Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook) are their usual familiar and efficient selves.Read full review...

Product key invalid

I feel ripped off, the installation appeared to go well until it was time to activate the product, and the product key would not activate and there is no option to call Microsoft to activate the product as they want to sell you 365 versus having the older version installed on your computer. I have started the return process cuz it's unusableRead full review...

If you want pretty like Office 2010 - WAIT. For Touchscreen - GO.

I have Office 2010 on my main PC and Office 2013 is almost the same without the all of the slick looking backgrounds of 2010. Outlook is basically the same but once again without the background frills. It is my understanding that the "wireframe" look is because it streamlines the ability to use the touchscreen capabilities of some PCs and laptops. there are a few improvements to Word that are neat, like inserting pictures and such.Read full review...

Fast Arrival

Code was no good, so I had to contact Microsoft for it. But then it worked.

Still working on loading it to my laptop

Hello,

I'm having problems installing the software onto my laptop. I have followed some of the recommendation and I will try again this week to load it on my laptop.

Thanks.
