T9500 SLAYX
A 10 minute install on the Dell Inspiron 1525, this CPU works perfectly. Speed is noticeably increased with good temps.
My only annoyance was the sticker placed on the circuit board which I felt obligated to remove in consideration that it probably gets pretty warm in there. I hate it when people put stupid sticky things on objects, but that's pretty thin beef given that the CPU functions flawlessly.Read full review

Works as advertised
Passed Intel's verification tool as Genuine and so far it's performing at full speeds wit no signs of defects.
Came with thermal paste but I used AS5 instead.
A nice $40 upgrade for a little more pep to an outdated laptop.Read full review

Good CPU if you have 800 mhz FSB laptop on GL40/45. The most you powerful you can upgrade to in TDP 35W.
Pros:
6MB cache
SSE 4.1 supported
Energy efficiency (45nm)
1080p decoding without frame drop.Read full review

No bios update needed (Lenovo G550)
I had a T8100, but I wanted to get the best processor that will run on my Lenovo G550 (NITU1 motherboard). It started right way, with no bios update. I've also applied a thin layer of Arctic Silver on it. The fan seems to do a good job in keeping it cool. I wouldn't say the fan now rarely takes off, but it does only for a short period of time. It's not a big jump in performance from T8100. Buy it only if you worry about the 20% extra performance that you can get out of your laptop.Read full review

Upgraded older vostro wit h 1.73 CPU that ran 4.6 or so on WEI. This baby pumped it to 6.2, very respectable for an 8 year old laptop! Bargain price on this too.

Works very well. Great CPU if your laptop can take it.
Upgraded a family member's 10 year old laptop with this and an SSD. This is faster and uses less power, so their laptop fan is less noisy - programs start and finish far quicker with the upgrades. Very worth it for a fraction of the cost of a new laptop.
Side thought: I guess we know why they don't make newer laptops with swappable CPUs?Read full review

Nice upgrade for older laptops
Installed this T9500 in an old Latitude D830, it performs almost like a new pc with this top CPU installed :-)
