Brother MFC-J470DW All-In-One Inkjet Wireless Printer with Auto Document Feeder

These printers are the best IMHO. That is why I ordered another one just like my old one.

The printer came with just the plug in cord, no wireless chip or anyway to hook it to fax. PLUS,
the box it came in had a bunch of "CHERRY PITS " in the bottom of the box and one in the back of the printer....they had been eaten.

My old printer is the same type, so I had to use the plug ins from it and reinstall it with my DVD to get the printer to work, otherwise I would still not be able to set it up. It prints fine now & good quality, but there is still no chip for wireless. Read full review

Set up not so smooth this time around!

I always buy Brother printers....they work good. This time I paid $250 more for the same printer I purchased a couple years ago.....pandemic price gouging. Also, this time I had problems with it right off the bat. It would not print in black. I spent hours trying to get it to work correctly & finally gave up and had to call Brother's technical help. Best for PC, but works with Mac!

Easy Peasey Setup....But scanning is really setup for PC & Windows. I still have not mastered that, but this thing works & ink is a LOT cheaper than for my old Epsons! No dedicated slot on the back for envelope printing but I figured that out quickly: Simply take out your regular paper, narrow the guides, insert an envelope & send the job....Put the envelope face down, closure to the left & you will get a great print job....Overall, I am happy!!Read full review

I've been able to use the ink cartridges that I was stuck with when mine broke!

It took a whole lot of ink run through it to finally start working OK. It replaced an identical printer that the plastic paper guide parts started breaking due to use, rendering it useless except for scanning purposes.Read full review

Couldn't get the wireless set up.

I haven't been able to set up the wireless even after contacting the company two times. They've tried to be helpful, send me emails on how to do it. I followed their directions, but it still didn't give me the results. I have it connected with a usb cable and it works fine, I just had to put it a lot closer to my computer than I want to.Read full review

not happy with it

I've never had so many problems with a printer! Paper jams a lot, if electricity goes out I have to reset the network settings, and ink area leaks. won't buy this brand of printer again

A nice multifunction device at an affordable price.

I received the printer on time and in good condition. No manuals or software was included, but the Brother website had all the information I needed. Setup was easy and it connected to my wifi without issue. The black and white printing was very good. I had some problem with the cyan color. I ran the color ink cleaning operation several times and finally the blue was working. I may have to replace the blue ink cartridge, because it still isn't as sharp as the other colors.Read full review
