Awesome Sound!!! Sounds like 5.1 system!!!

What I did notice is the bass. The bass is incredible, you can feel it. Mids and highs are crisp, clean, clear, even extremely loud like a Bose system just cheaper. Tested on rap, classical, techno, dance, hip/hop, rock, and heavy metal. One of logitechs best system right here. Now the cons. When playing music or a game with deep bass at a mid-loud to loud volume the surround on the sub hits the speaker protector making a thud sound destroying the effect of the bass. Logitech should have stuck it out further so the woofer has a free movement when playing lower freq. What I would do is take the protector off that there's free movement but only if you dont have young ones or pets that like to chew things thats what happened to my X-530 system the dog chewed the surround off the sub.Read full review...

My 2nd set, 1st one still running great too

Bought my first set in 2005 brand new that is still running as good as the day I took it out of the box. Just picked up a "near new", used set here on Ebay. First set is still running like a champ 11 years later and I'm just as happy so far with the used set I just picked up for my work office.

Currently running the work set directly from the headphone port on my smart phone. With proper speaker/sub placement (keep that sub out in open air and not under the desk) and tweaking down the output from the phone to eliminate too much gain from some source files, this is a pretty clean (and loud) sounding setup. It sounds really good and I just start laughing to myself out of joy sometimes when I crank it up. For a computer system it is really great. I've gotten a lot of compliments from passerby co-workers.

It actually can't manage the midbass and bass load as well as my truck's system, but that is apples to oranges as the truck has a pretty decent and tuned SQL system with 2-12s. But I have turned this up when no one was around at work and I can get the bass funneling up the stairwell on the other side of the wall in my office.

With this system you may notice quality issues when trying to run the source through your computer mic input then back out the speaker out. I tried this on my Dell docking station and the cheap electronics in there made a difference in quality opposed to running it directly to the speakers. However, I've never noticed sound degradation playing music files directly from my computer through the speakers at home.

I highly recommend this, of course. I went out of my way to by a used discontinued model instead of one of the newer systems off the shelf. The quality has been outstanding for me and I didn't want to risk it. Tweak the speaker placement, the source input levels, and the bass adjustment on the wired remote. You'll have a fantastic sounding system.

be careful

On the whole, a great set of speakers for the price. Powerful enough, clear sound, solid bass, quality manufacture. For the most part, that is. I have had two sets of these, and both sets had one satellite that crackled and popped and buzzed with a defective cone. So I actually have only one set that works properly. Be very careful when buying used, and verify from seller if speakers are perfect. Get it in writing. If all components were perfect, I would have awarded five stars.Read full review...

incredible speakers but satellite speakers not support

I love logitech Z-2300.... The incredible indoor sound that makes me feel great!!! The subwoofer is amazing but the only one problem is; the pair satellite speakers not support to much the loud volume, when you turn up the volume begin to distort and then stop playing.

There are my second Z-2300 and had the same problem with both....(Buy, Enjoy Couple Days, Start to distort, stop playing... and finally end up looking for the warranty or making a replacement)

But is very awsome sound for real !!!!!!

I replace my satellite for BOSE 161 !!!!!!

great low end but highs?

i had klipsch pro media 2.1 just before i bought these logi z2300's, and let me tell you, the bass of the logi's is thumpin!!! the klipsch have better highs but their sattelite speakers are kinda big and get in the way compared to the logi's.ONE MORE IMPORTANT FACT!!! the klipsch speakers have no on/off button, so when you power down your computer the klipsch speakers buzz all day where the logi's have a standby button, deal breaker!!Read full review...

Like new!

These are great 2:1 speakers that for some reason Logitech decided to stop making. When my left satellite speaker developed a buzz (after years of hard use) was delighted to find I could find a replacement on eBay. Way cheaper than buying a new system plus I got to keep all the features I came to love.Read full review...

Get the Z2300 For High Impact Sound that will be Satisfying!

If this System were to be compared to Bose. Consider this: I personally own Bose 601 Series 3 They are very nice, and Bose "used to have the highest quality sound amongst only a few other hit and miss brands over time" Z2300 Trully Rocks!!!
Currently Bose does not make anything as good as this (for computer use) If they did it would cost $2000.00 I purchased the companion one∧ series two returned them both. The Series 5 returned it. The real deal is: This system reaches higher highs and lows dramatically more impressive than Bose anything. Science disproves any Audiofile advice you may read that suggest Bose as being a clear or even prefered choice. Any real audio file would know that you can adjust the sound with the sound software on your computer. Once I set the EQ to the settings I liked on the Z2300 Speaker System, I realized I may have to sand them down and spray them in about 10 Years so they still look pretty. At the rate speakers are going these days, consider yourself lucky if you can still find these. Bose sells the crap out of high notes, they use a filtering system to protect the underpowered peak wattage. So technically they do tolerate high power input. Bottom line they dont have enough power coming out of them. If they did they would blow. Wake up America Bose is Mickey Mouse and worse than that proportionately extremely overpriced. Thats just my opinion and I am not an expert :)

So much better than the stock Logitech speakers

I have had the z2300 for about 8 years and needed to replace the satellite speakers. Looking on ebay, I was a little leery about some random build speakers but decided to get these anyway.

Let me tell you these are absolutely wonderful. If you had the same reservations as me about buying random ebay speakers, I just here to say that those fears are not needed. Great build quality and sound. Plug and playRead full review...

Thumping bass and crisp highs!

What a powerful system! I purchased the Logitech Z-2300 pre-owned from a seller on Ebay. Although the sellers and the reviewers raved about the sound, it's hard to trust others when it comes to sound because we don't all hear the same. The sound from this system is just as everyone said! It's powerful!
I did some research before my purchase and was pleased with the reviews about the Z-2300. I am so glad that I made this purchase. First of all I bought mine used but it looks brand new so I saved some money there. Second, the sound is awesome. The bass is strong and the highs are crisps. The system was easy to setup.
Originally, I wanted a wireless, bluetooth system but unless I spent a lot of money, those systems didn't provide deep base and lacked powerful output. I researched several systems but this one kept coming out on top. My research showed that wired systems had the most powerful sound.
Love the Logitech Z-2300 and I highly recommend it to those who really want to feel the music!
