4 Pieces of 1x1/2x1/8 Inch Rare Earth Neodymium Block Magnet Grade N45
May 12, 2016
strong magnets
1x1/2x1/8". These are working very well for my application as dual contact points for window sensors. I stuck them to the windows using 3M VHB tape and they've been holding and working very well, even in the shower window. Placed about 4" apart, if I open the windows quickly to the security catch I can usually do it without setting off an alarmed window. There's that much pull from these magnets. I recommend for this purpose and will buy more of these if I need some again. They are very strong magnets and seem to be constructed well. This is my first experience using neodymium magnets and didn't realize the force it took to pry them apart. I read the included warnings and used caution while handling them. No injuries to report but I do see why there are the warnings and see how one could get injured, especially if using any larger sized magnets.
Logitech Z-2300 THX-Certified 2.1 Speaker System with Subwoofer Premium Sound

My 2nd set, 1st one still running great too
Bought my first set in 2005 brand new that is still running as good as the day I took it out of the box. Just picked up a "near new", used set here on Ebay. First set is still running like a champ 11 years later and I'm just as happy so far with the used set I just picked up for my work office. Currently running the work set directly from the headphone port on my smart phone. With proper speaker/sub placement (keep that sub out in open air and not under the desk) and tweaking down the output from the phone to eliminate too much gain from some source files, this is a pretty clean (and loud) sounding setup. It sounds really good and I just start laughing to myself out of joy sometimes when I crank it up. For a computer system it is really great. I've gotten a lot of compliments from passerby co-workers. It actually can't manage the midbass and bass load as well as my truck's system, but that is apples to oranges as the truck has a pretty decent and tuned SQL system with 2-12s. But I have turned this up when no one was around at work and I can get the bass funneling up the stairwell on the other side of the wall in my office. With this system you may notice quality issues when trying to run the source through your computer mic input then back out the speaker out. I tried this on my Dell docking station and the cheap electronics in there made a difference in quality opposed to running it directly to the speakers. However, I've never noticed sound degradation playing music files directly from my computer through the speakers at home. I highly recommend this, of course. I went out of my way to by a used discontinued model instead of one of the newer systems off the shelf. The quality has been outstanding for me and I didn't want to risk it. Tweak the speaker placement, the source input levels, and the bass adjustment on the wired remote. You'll have a fantastic sounding system.

Surefire P1R Peacekeeper Rechargeable Ultra-High Dual-Output LED 600 Lumens

Favorite Surefire handheld so far
I currently own 4 Surefire handhelds and this is my favorite so far. I also have the E2D LED 5/200 model, 6PX tactical and G2X LE for reference. The Peacekeeper has high output at 600 lumens, nice hot spot with good flood, nice white light, rechargeable battery, has the high output on first press then low output on second press, which I prefer on a compromise EDC light but where I don't want a high mode only that I would on a purely defensive light. It also works well with the Thyrm Switchback which I like on these lights, but I did sand down the Thyrm a touch to get the tailcap to make a good contact. Favorite Surefire so far. Might even pick up a single stage model sometime too.
