Good option for triggering SD, AD2 etc

Does what it’s meant to do and has good trigger setting options.

I upgraded to this from an Alesis nitro module because I wanted to modify retrigger and expand my kit. It fit the bill nicely.

Please note that this was originally branded as an Alesis Trigger I/O and DDrums must have bought it from Alesis. It’s most compatible with 27mm pieozo’s. I have a mix of 35 and 27mm DIY triggers and the 35s double up a lot.

Also, this interface does not support 3 zone or 2 zone with choke.

But it is what it is and it’s overall a good match for A2E kits if you want more adjustability than an entry level module but don’t need multi zone/choke cymbals.

Excellent product

I couldn't for the life of me tell the functional difference between this and the late "Trigger I/O" by Alesis, if it weren't for the nice red color of the new unit. So since I was happy enough with the Alesis to buy a new one, even though it managed to survive my manhandling for so many years (and boy I didn't give it an easy life so far but it's functioning perfectly), I guess I'm very happy with its new incarnation as well. Time will tell if there's any workmanship or sturdiness differences, but so far, functionally speaking, they appear to be identical.Read full review...

Great for trigger interface through Midi

This is great to trigger through midi. Using it to trigger my drums with easy drummer. But can not use as a direct interface. Windows 10 does not have supporting drivers. I had to get use a midi interface to get it to work.Read full review...

this is a re-skinned Alesis Trigger IO,

I used the Alesis Trigger IO for 2 years before selling it (needed money).
I missed the functionality, so I sought to replace it.
Found it off the market, and replaced by the same product under DDrum.
Works exactly the same, with (sadly) NO new/additional functionality.
It would be SO nice if this unit could send more than notes, such as Control Changes.

Good product as Midi interface

Responsive and easy to use. Many options on threshold control, midi mapping and trigger management. The output is Midi only, and there is not integrated sound engine. Works very well with most of the drum triggers available in the market.Read full review...

Works good, and easy to learn.

Very fun. I bought a couple triggers for my drums, but I’m have more fun making my own piezo triggers and experimenting with things.
