Used this knife for many years, sometimes for bread but mostly for more difficult tasks like slicing meat. It's wonderful and kept an edge for a long time. I bought this one for our son-in-law who loves to grill and slice his own steaks and other meats. When it's time to sharpen (after a lot of years), be sure to take it to a professional who can take proper care of the serrations.
