Somewhat disappointed.

While it seemed a good price, it did not meet my initial expectations. It's a very traditional design for a prep knife. Fairly light with good balance and fairly comfortable handle (handle could have been a bit larger). However, the blade was rather dull with prominent grinding marks. I had to sharpen it before I used it. I haven't used it enough to see how well it holds it edge. However, it took some effort to sharpen it suggesting a relatively hard alloy. Hence, I have hopes it will hold an edge fairly well.

I selected the Zwiling brand because it's made in Germany as opposed to its Henckels brand which appear to be made in China. I have other Zwilling knives that are of excellent quality. I am somewhat disappointed.Read full review...

This is a great do-everything knife. It is razor sharp that sharpens right up with a steel. It's the only knife I use in the kitchen.
