Very sturdy and should be able to support a very large 3/8 mount antenna
I'm very impressed with the quality and finish of this very well made adapter. It's heavy, has a nice feel when you unpackage it, and screws down securely on the SO-239 mount. I'm using it with a Hustler quick detach stud on the 3/8 side and it seems the best of both worlds for being able to mount a diversity of antennas.

Hefty, hefty, hefty... Fat center pin!
As said before, the center pin of the UHF male is of a larger diameter than it should be.
Mating it to a SO229 with a soft dielectric will certainly spread the contact "pedals" of the female.
Is it solid? Yes. Weighs in at 6.6 oz. Its hefty.
If the center pin was milled to a standard diameter, it would be perfect.

I'm new to the ham radio hobby and I recently purchased a large mobile antenna for my RV. I wasn't sure if this was the right product for my application. Center pin too fat
The center pin on this adapter is just too fat. Plug it into an SO239, take it out, and then see how sloppy a regular PL259 fits in it after that.
It destroyed my Wilson 1000 Roof Mount by being stuck in, and pulling out, the entire center of the mount as it was unscrewed... Center conductor and insulator!
Beautiful piece otherwise but it'll spread out any SO239 you put it on, ruining them for any other PL259.Read full review...
