Pocket Talker 2.0 is stylish and compact. It is great for beginners!

The Pocket Talker 2.0 amplifies the sound adequately. Although it has a maximum output level of 5, we find it adequate at 2.5. It comes with a built-in microphone as well as a 12 foot long cable that can connect to the external microphone. The design is stylish and I love the colour white!

The downside is there is quite a lot of noise in the background. So for the user, it can be quite disturbing. Mum uses the Pocket Talker 50% of the time, meaning, she will wear the ear piece for a period of time and after a while, she will remove them from her ears.

When she removed the ear piece, she would not be able to enjoy the TV Programs. As she has dementia, she does not understand why she could not hear the TV sound and she will start to call our names frequently.

For a start, this is a good product since it does not cost S$6,000 - S$12,000 unlike those professional hearing aids. So even if mum decline to use it all the time, it is ok.

Mensa Menza

The basic pocket talker is fine. But it seems the micraphone is not good. It just so happens l have another mic But it was disappointing and I had planned on using the extra mic on extension chord to hear tv.Read full review...

FABULOUS, easy to use, easy to find, 93 yr. old Dad can use them easily and they work great.

These are a great, reliable product. They have caught the attention of many in the nursing home who are struggling with the medical hearing aids they have now-expensive, small, easily lost, hard to install, short battery life, hard to replace battery, fragile, in the ear hearing aids; that have to be adjusted by a technician. That means appointments and trip for repairs, adjustments, and check-ups. None of these problems with the Poctetalkers, in fact when our audiologist saw Dads he bought a pair for his mother!Read full review...

A genuine help

My elderly aunt lost her very expensive hearing aids in the nursing home. Rather than risk another loss, I bout the Sound Pocketalker for her and it works better than her hearing aids did. It is a real life saver.Read full review...

It does the job, but don't expect a replacement for a hearing aid.

It works as described and does what it should. Two misgivings: its bulky and awkward to use, but I didn't count that against it since it is obvious from the photo and description. My only real complaint is that the balance control, from left to right ear, does little.

Other than that, the person using it suffers from severe hearing loss can can have a normal conversation. They can hear every word without straining. But note, the is no ongoing background noise when having the conversation so the distractions are kept to a minimum. They also commented that they would not use it for extended periods of time as they felt a bit of sensory overload.

Other than that, it does what it is supposed to.

Well designed.

Compact, easy on power, tone and volume AND t-coil! I paired this with Baille Bluetooth modules to be wireless. See YouTube, HLAA-ROC, "noisy Spaces Ideas" for full uses.

No volume as it arrived here.

I can't get any volume out of it. Maybe it got damaged on the journey here, but I can hear better without my Pocketalker than with it, and I've tried all the adjustments and the batteries are good.
