Great Little Vacuum!

This is the second Blaster that I've bought on eBay. The first one was refurbished and sold as a working Blaster, but the connections were corroded. This time I bought a new one and it is really a great little vacuum. I use it in an indoor pool which is 5' deep and it picks up all the debris on the bottom of the pool. We bought a lightweight aluminum pole at Walmart which fits it perfectly. It has quite a bit of power and does a very good job.Read full review...

don't waste your time or$$$ if you have a big pool

awesome selller with quick delivery.... but am highly disappointed with product. this would be perfect if you have a small kiddie pool
I have the old pool blaster which was amazing.. so was expecting the same satisfaction... booboo. no where even close. its about the third of the size which is ok if you have all day to vac ... and then there is the extender pole situation... went on just fine but cant get off by myself to change out to longer one..
.. so then had to get into the pool to finish vacuuming with this lil bitty vac head.. grrrrrrrrrrrr.... so frustrated! I feel like I just wasted my money!

Good Pool Vac

Purchased this vac for our inground pool. This is a good vac, with good suction, however, the filter bag is way too small. It doesn't hold much debris, so we need to empty it once or twice to complete our inground pool. We
did have the larger Pool Blaster with larger filter bag a few of years ago ( now higher priced )
but only lasted two years, then I bought a battery type one, did the job but battery run time was
short. This is a good vac, just wish bag was bigger. Oh, and does not fit a standard pole, having difficulty finding correct size one.

Does as it claims, quick low volume cleanup, easy to use, empty it often

Used after charging overnight. Works straight from the box.
Does not fit intex 1" telescopics, needs 1.2" (Walmart....$25), can be fiddly to get on and off pole.
To empty, lift from water, invert, then turn off, allow water to drain while inverted, then nothing falls back in pool.
Empty frequently, picks up verything until it starts to fill up. May seem tedious, but LOTS better than fooling around with hoses, skimmer, pipe connections etc.
Fine bag is VERY fine, removes pollen, algae, everything, overkill for normal cleaning.
Very satisfied with product, well made, new on/off button 100% improvement.
Battery? Only time will tell, but used daily so far with no problems.

Not so good

The good: The product vacuums well for about 5 minutes, then the battery died (not so good).

The bad: Unfortunately there were 2 significant problems with this pool vacuum. 1st of all, the pole pieces aren't made to the right specs so they don't snap together. You can jam the pieces together after a fashion but that predictably led to the cracking of one of the pieces.

Had the unit worked well, I would have overlooked the defective pole. Unfortunately that wasn't the big problem. Having assembled the unit I put it to the test and it worked quite well.....for about 5 minutes. Battery died. OK, maybe I just needed to recharge it. Four hours of recharging gave me six minutes of operation, and a subsequent 5 hour charge yielded the same result. I had great hopes for this purchase. Maybe just got a dud battery but this coupled with the bad pole design didn't inspire me to ask for a replacement.

Had no choice but to return the item. Will go back to laborious suction hose method. Too bad!

Nice little vac

I purchased this vacuum to replace the one that attaches to our pool's water outlet b/c I have a hard time getting the attachment for the outlet on/off. I was looking for something battery operated with, preferably, a rechargable battery. This fits the bill. Set up is easy, though the directions (pictorial) were not the clearest. My only gripes (and they are relatively minor) are 1- the "microfilter" set up is funky and on my second use, when i took it apart to clean the filters, I already had holes in the tip of the filter. (it's basically a the material of nylon tights.. I just knotted the end before the holes) and 2- it says it fits most poles... I have 3 poles and it sort of fits one.. The shortest one. It did a great job cleaning the "yuck" that had formed from lack of vacuuming + dirt road + short vacation. I am definitely happy to have this in my aresnal.Read full review...

Pool vac

At first. Seemed like a toy. Went to use and was amazed. It does have a small bag, but its grreat for touch ups between poolbot use. Also gets pesky corners and stairs. Does sound cheesy out of the water, buy very happy so far.Read full review...

Lightweight with good features

It cleans really great, it actually surprised me on how good it cleaned. The bad side is the cleaning compartment is really small. You have to clean it a lot. Overall I would buy one again If I needed.Read full review...

Use with care!

I have had some bad experiences with other battery operated sweepers on the market and I hate using the hose to sweep! I love this one -it is rechargeable and thus far works really well. I wish the head was a little larger as it takes a long time to sweep a pool with the small surface width of the head. I would have given it a 5 Star, but within a week of using the sweeper I already broke the "nose" piece that you screw into place after putting in the filter--it becomes very hard to do this when you add the micro strainer--it adds an additional layer and makes it difficult to screw in the nose piece--$20 later I have replaced this part and will use much more caution in the future-you should too!Read full review...

Filter capacity

The vacuum works pretty good. It has good suction. It has a finer filter pouch that catches sand. That is the reason I bought it. I live in the desert so there is a lot of sand in the air that gets in my pool. It does get the sand. My problem is the dirt catch is so small. I can't put my hand in it. It loses suction very often, about every 30 seconds. Then you have to take it apart and clean the filter pouch. The way it twists together to get to the filters could be different. The plastic is already starting to show stress. I'm not sure how long it will hold up. I have to take it apart about 50 times when cleaning my pool which is 20ft round 3ft deep. This also causes cleaning to take a while. Maybe if you could do it everyday it might be better but I only get to it once a week. Not sure if I would recommend this vacuum for anyone in my situation.
