Works fine but expect the LED to blow if using 60hz
Works fine, LED blew within seconds of use. Apparently 50hz LEDs don't last under 60hz. This device does a good job of magnetizing and demagnetizing small parts. Works really well with watch-related parts. Certainly worth what I paid.Read full review...

In three seconds...smoke
I'm a horologist, and these are a necessity to have near by. I was simply in dire need of a demagnetizer quickly, for work that had to ship out asap. 3 seconds into using it, (for the first time) and it was literally up in smoke. I would have been thankful for a few good uses. Unfortunately I can not recommend this unit. Works great... until it doesn't
Luckily, these things are dirt cheap. The first one I purchased worked for about a month then died. I used it 15-20 times and just purchased another (which works great so far).
At this point, I only expect to use it a couple of times a year, so hopefully it will last. But these are very cheaply made (you get what you pay for).Read full review...

Only effective way to demagnetize small ferrous tools
Works great on small metal items including needle nose pliers & standard screwdrivers. Tried to go the cheap route on Amazon with the square plastic magnetizer/demagnetizer which didn't work worth a darn. I was delighted when I found this on eBay, new and for a great price. demagnetizing tools
I work in a tiny machine shop, metal chips and tools both occupy the workspace. Through no fault of mine, screwdrivers and Allen wrenches become magnetized.
This little gizmo hangs on the wall beyond one of my work benches. When I pick up a 1/8 Allen wrench and it drips steel powder, I hold it on the tool, push the button for a couple of seconds and the chips fall from it. Cheap Made in China Non-working Demagnetizer
After many attempts to demagnetise my watch screw drivers and other small watch tools it became obvious that this item does not work as described. The red led comes on when you press the button and the item vibrates when a watch screwdriver is placed on top. i checked the screwdrivers with a small compass afterwards and they are not demagnetised even after several attemps as per item instructions.Read full review...
