Easy to understand and keeps you moving

Great update to the one before it! Which was the first in the series that I owned. This book is an excellent update that includes XHTML. For anyone that learned HTML in the early 2000s this and the books that come after are great to have to keep your skills up to date. Easy to understand and learn from. Great reference book to have on hand.Read full review...

Excellent resource with plenty of examples

I bought this book after borrowing an earlier edition at the library. I found it to be a good resource with easy to follow examples, yet in-depth enough to take advantage of advanced features. Castro's tips and tricks and reminders about the differences in browser implementation makes this a popular book among programmers. I was glad to win the bid.Read full review...

Awesome book, definitely worth the cost, great value.

I bought this book for class, super informative and easy to learn from. I really like how the author also provided info to access chapters online that were removed from this edition.

OK book, but too much time spent on the basics

This was an OK book, but I was hoping for more in-depth coverage of CSS and XHTML. White the book does cover it, I wanted something a little more advanced. Great for beginners though.
I'm not sure why so many publishers are still publishing HTML books though, since a majority of HTML is deprecated. They should be focusing on XHTML, CSS, AJAX and even XML. HTML needs to just go away.Read full review...

HTML, XHTML & CSS

This book is very helpful for building and maintaining websites. I have only had it a few days and it has been very helpful. I can see it used as a reference book, one that stays on your desk. It is well written and easy to understand.Read full review...

Excellent Book

I decided to buy this book because I desire to go into website development as a profession. I wont say it exceeded my expectations, but this is a perfect start to my career. It is clear, beautifully illustrated and packed with enough information for me to declare at the end that I have ample knowledge of HTML, XHTML and CSS.

Great book. A must have for web designers.

Quick Delivery with Tracking!

Shipped quickly for my class. I like how simple the text is. Its easy to read and very good for people who do not have any experience with XHTML or CSS. Comparable to Dreamweaver textbook, both are good for introductory classes.Read full review...

Good textbook

I bought this as a required textbook for a basic web design (college) class. It emphasizes current standards including valid code standards and cascading style sheets. The book's design is good, with legible typefaces. Its introduction to xhtml and css is straightforward with well-chosen examples. Nice index too.Read full review...
