Fun to play easy to learn.

Fun to play learning is easy. You learn how a goverment works. It is a sim type game. It does take time to catch how the game runs like how the money you get and people in the game do things. It take lots of time to learn. But still fun.Read full review...

Sometimes needlessly overcomplicated

I have played through this version and through Tropico 5, and I like 5 a lot more. The graphics in Tropico 3 are far more detailed and you can zoom in and out farther and pan the camera much more, which is great, but it sacrifices in game performance. It felt like it was saving and buffering graphics every 5 minutes of gameplay. The build menus don't contain as much detail as in the newer versions of the game and the difficulty levels, even set to the lowest, are still pretty fierce. The time dilation settings don't move you that fast or maybe the game just makes building anything take a long time, a lot longer than in other versions of the game. It's still a decent game, and the one that got me interested in the series, but I do like other versions more than this one.Read full review...

tropico 3 good game for 2010

decent title, excellent graphics, smooth gameplay, not challenging. Very unique but similar to sim city, zeus game titles. The game itself can be addictive if you have not played sim city or pop top before. This game is a change of pace from Tropico 1 and 2, and other games, so if you want a game thats different I would recommend this one.

overall 4/5 stars

you can go to www.tropico3.com/ for cheats and demos! sim city like game, decent graphics and solid gameplay.

good source of what you need!

not recommended if you have other game titles on your mind, or options. This game is outdated, be sure to pick a different game for your child because this game can be a waste of money if you want a boring repetitive game.

see my auctions if you want toys or holiday gifts!

Life on the islands of Tropico 3

I found Tropico 3 for the xBox 360 to be a fun game with many neat features. Overall I would give it a 7.5 out of 10. The game does have some issues in the programming. If I were you I would save the game often, espesically when your city gets very large. Overall this is a great game that has provided me with many quality hours of game play. If you are a fan of games like sim city or Command & Conquer you should enjoy live on the islands of Tropico!Read full review...

Tropico 3

The game is interactive and fun to play. I also find it humorously educational on seemingly real life political schemes on ways in which the rotten elite in politics have worked the system for their benefit throughout the ages. This game includes all kinds of spot on politcal schemes from rigging elections, swaying the minds of the sheeple with propaganda in their newspapers and radio stations, to all sorts of insightful ways the elite surely use to launder money into their secret swiss bank acounts. The most negative thing about this game is the music soundtrack, it can get very annoying.Read full review...

Tropico 3 review by a real gamer

I had been wanting this game for a long time, and decided to wait until the price dropped like it did recently. I really love games to where you can build a city and run it and take full control and at first this game has that. As you start to build a city and really get into it your city people start to turn against your and over throw you and you lose the game. I tried lots of things to make them happy, but it just wouldn't work. So if you like a city building game that you have to do politics and people managing skills most of the time then this game is for you, but it wasn't for me and i'm glad I waited until the price dropped.Read full review...

Tropico 3

This is a great game all around. You start with an island, and a scenario, and have to use real economic principles to build an economy, find and keep a work force, attract tourists, and keep your people happy. It can be a little difficult at time, but satisfying when you get the hang of it. If there is one fault I can find with the game, it is that it was so addicting that I now have burn in on my TV from the stationary menu!Read full review...

Cheap awesome game!

This game is great for anyone who likes simulation games.
It has a great campaign mode, and a sandbox mode. I would prefer to play this type of game on a computer, but xbox did a good job with the controls.Read full review...

Great gift!

I bought this game for my boyfriend's birthday and he loved it. He's really into this type of gaming so it was a great fit for him (though I have no idea about anything related to gaming!). If you or a loved one love these types of Xbox games, this could be a good one for you too!Read full review...
