Awesome, entertaining, funny

Toy Story 2 is one of the greatest movies of all time! This 2-disc Special Edition has tons of bonus features! I wish more DVD's were like this, but it's not 2005 anymore. The discs work great!

Full of LOL fun... and bonus features.

It made me laugh, pretty hard. It's a very funny movie, about 3/4 as good as the first Toy Story. They came up with a very good storyline, and some nice action/adventure scenes; but the thing you'll treasure the most are the jokes.
Many, many laugh-out-loud, parody-like, awesomely funny jokes fill this movie with a nice ambiance through the end. Overall it's a great movie, very enjoyable but somewhat empty in comparison with the original Toy Story.
However, it's got tons of bonus features that complement it's faults, like deleted scenes, several soundtracks to choose, outtakes, a mini-game and more.
It may be not a classic, but it's still got charm enough.

Good movie, but disappointing outcome for me.

I bought this movie because I have a grand daughter who loves he Toy Story movie. She is 3 years old. I got the movie, and was very excited to watch it with her. After about 30-40 mins in, she became dis-interested. No amount of prodding has interested her again. I think the problem is that she could understand enough of what was happening in the first movie, but the second has so much involvement of story line, and relationships, that she couldn't follow it, and therefore didn't like it. It seems that the first movie was an age range of 3-6, and the second is more like 6-9. I guess I'll just keep it in the movie library at Papa's house for a while. I think the movie is very well done, and is worth having.Read full review...

Toy Story never disappoints

Wow! My grandson is not quite two years old, but he just LOVES all of the characters in each of the Toy Story releases. Of course, his special favorite is Woody. We spend great times with him sitting on my lap, watching the movies and extras. I will never forget these special times. Oh, did I mention that I also love the stories? There is enough good writing and entertaining performances to even keep restless adults happy.Read full review...

Toy Story 2

Toy Story 2 is a 1999 CGI film, the second Disney/Pixar feature film, and the sequel to Toy Story, which features the adventures of a group of toys that come to life when humans are not around to see them. Like the first film, Toy Story 2 was produced by Pixar Animation Studios, directed by John Lasseter, Lee Unkrich and Ash Brannon, and released by Walt Disney Pictures and Buena Vista Distribution in the United States on November 19, 1999,[2] in some parts of Australia on December 2, 1999 and the United Kingdom on 11 February 2000. Toy Story 2 was re-released in a double feature with Toy Story in Disney Digital 3-D on October 2, 2009, and Toy Story 3 is scheduled for release on June 18, 2010.

The movie keeps most of the original characters and voices from the first movie, including Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Don Rickles, Jim Varney, Wallace Shawn, Annie Potts, John Ratzenberger, John Morris, and Laurie Metcalf. They are joined by new characters voiced by Jodi Benson, Joan Cusack, Kelsey Grammer, Estelle Harris, and Wayne Knight.

Great piece of work,

The story opens with Woody accidentally stuck in a yard sale and stolen by a greedy and evil toy collector. Buzz and the toys embark on a perilous journey to save their friend, while Woody discovers that he's actually a valuable toy. It turns out that he's based on an old 50s television show called Woody's Roundup, and along with his faithful horse Bullseye, cowgirl Jessie and a crotchety old prospector named Stinky Pete, he's being sold to a toy museum in Japan. Woody is faced with a tough choice: Does he become a toy that will be immortal but never played with, or does he go back to being a child's toy, where he'll eventually be outgrown?
this is an amazing movie just to look at. It took the filmmakers at Pixar over four years to finish this film, and it really does show. Every frame has something going on in the background (this is a movie that begs for repeat viewings) so that it's impossible to get bored on a visual level. And even though the first film was only released five years ago, there have been incredible advancements in the field of computer animation. Where the humans looked sketchy (at best) in the first one, they are now incredibly lifelike - particularly Al, the evil toy collector. He looks almost human, and if you've seen the first film, you know that's an amazing feat in itself.
The real shame with a movie like Toy Story 2 is that there will always be folks who insist that it's been designed to appeal solely to kids. But that's simply not the case, as the film is far more engaging and moving than most live-action pictures.

The Adventure Continues

This is a sequel to Toy Story, released in 1995. This time around, the fun and adventure continue when Andy goes off to summer camp and the toys are left to their own devices. Things shift into high gear when an obsessive toy collector kidnaps Woody -- who hasn't the slightest clue that he is a greatly valued collectible. It's now up to Buzz Lightyear and the gang from Andy's room -- Mr. Potato Head, Slinky Dog, Rex, and Hamm -- to spring into action and save their pal from winding up a museum piece. There are plenty of thrills as the toys get into one predicament after another in their daring race to get home before Andy does.Read full review...

NOT THE OFFICIAL ONE

I was very disappointed over this item. It's not the actual Toy Story 2 movie, i mean it is the movie but it didn't come from the distributor. Every 5 to 10 minutes in the right hand corner it show a little video recorder icon with a 1/3 beside it. It is very obvious by the main menu that this item was recorded from the actual dvd. Now someone might ask why its the movie get over it but like most people know some dvds that you burn do not play on certain dvd player so by my luck it only plays on one dvd play in my bedroom which gets on my nerves since i paid for this item and that i was getting the actual thing. Plus they packaged it up like it was new but when i got the dvd out it had scratches all over it and it skips a little at the beginning of the movie..I'm not a complainer this is actually my first time to buy something off ebay, just though ppl should know not to buy this one from this ebay member. They actually might not even know that it isnt the fake one..Read full review...
