Decent but don’t expect edge to edge sharpness

Even at F4 or f8 it produces soft edges. Center is sharp though at all f:stops. Surprisingly very little vignetting wide open. And zero choked down to f8. Solid build for the price and smooth manual focusing. Easy to use manual focus switching allows you to keep your eye in the viewfinder while switching from AF to manual. I wouldn’t use this for astrophotography though as the stars on the edges will be noticeably soft.

Not the best, but good enough for professional photos.

I love this lens. I didn't use wide lenses enough in my work to justify getting the best glass, so I settled on the Tokina. Glad I did, because I am using it more than I originally thought. Amazing gem!

Great value and excelente picture quality!

My copy is tack sharp wide open.It is built like a tank. The only downside is the weight. I have to pay more visits to the gym now.

Great lens all around well worth its price,might be a classic one day

This is a great lens,i am a full time professional shooter and normally dont buy off brand lenses but i took a chance on this lens since i figure i dont use that range enough to justify buying the $2000 nikon version ,but after using the lens wow. this lens is as sharpe as a ny of my nikon lenses and the focus is really good and i have used most of nikon pro 2.8 lenses this lens is a winner im glad i bought it i cant see why any one wouldnt be happy with this lens unless you get a bad copy guess..great lens all aroundRead full review...

Lens not working

The lens failed after 4 weeks of use. I’m disappointed because it looks like motor is not working. I have used it 2 times before it failed ;(
