This book is an easy read. Storyline follows a wealthy family who’s daughter is in love with a soldier leaving to join the fighting, during the Revolutionary War. Did I mention that the young lady’s family and her lover are on opposing sides of the war?!!Read full review...

Too long, by far.

A very very long tale about a very spoiled girl who matures into a very spoiled woman. There's just enough history and local color to keep it interesting. This book could have been improved by deleting about two hundred pages. I read it all because it was my new book club's selection.Read full review...
