Changed American Music
I had been a big fan of Bob Dylan long before I heard THE BAND. When I finally heard their music, I found it to be so very different, in a good way. I became a huge fan, especially after seeing them at the Syria Mosque in Pittsburgh, late 1970. I bought all their LP's and 45's. I purchased this box set after reading reviews that mentioned the quality as being better than the original vinyl. I am not disappointed! I keep playing the records over and over, never tiring of the sounds that come from my Sansui 5-ways!! A big recommendation from me to all fans of THE BAND!!!!! The Band, Capitol Albums Box Set
All their albums in one place. The only complaint is that "The Band" LP should have had the textured/embossed brown cover like the originals had. Everything else is great. It's A Great Box Set!
Having almost everything The Band put out over the years set me up for this. I recently returned to listening to music on vinyl. To my dismay the albums were not that readily available at stores. When you think at what is included in this package you get all the original cover with inserts if they originally had them, archival inner sleeves, a cover box that holds them and protects them and great quality heavy pressings with excellent sound for a mere $16.00 each with tax and shipping!
