A Look at The Barbarians Brothers
This is a late fantasy flick from the 80's (1987, specifically a throwback to the fantasy things of the 60's. The thing is good fun and a trip for older viewers who remember these films, just about all foreign made.
All of the elements are there--the action from the beginning to the end, the nudity for those who like their fantasy flavored with skin shots(the non-Harry Potter crowd), and the hokum(the plot which is standard). The usual characters who just disappear in the end (the dirtmaster and the sorceress)the villain who gets his in the end (Kadar), and even a half naked queen, Canary, who seems to be the element who holds the entire plot together.
It seems that the positive characters are a group of minstrels, jesters, players, etc. who have hidden out in the woods waiting for a chance to overthrow those who have taken them captive and imprisoned their queen in their head man's harem. The barbarian brothers (children when the film begins) grow to manhood doing the tasks of this barbarian society headed by Kadar. The barbarian brothers (Kutchek and Gore) eventually escape and find their sister (Cara, complete with California accent) and from there solve the problems of the kingdom. To do this they face a hideous monster (forget it, it's hokey) as well as Kadar's henchmen.
I really would recommend this film for those who like a lark, for those who need something very congenial with their beer, wine or booze, or those late night folks who are bored (this film will keep you entertained.)
Like its forerunners, it is Italian made and includes all the elements of European fantasy. In fact5, it makes us wonder why they ever turned to westerns. Generally, as a connoisseur of these films from many years ago, I would recommend this film, for the odd elements if nothing else. But for sheer entertainment value, I would rank it along with most of those that come out today.Read full review...

I searched for this movie forever and finally found it and it is still awesome. It was also a great deal.
Classic
This movie is sweet . It is a true classic ! They should make on DVD . I think it is only for VHS . But thats ok Ill plug in the VCR for a classic movie. I recommend watching this movie.
