Non ballistic Trauma pads
For the price these will do just fine, simple dense foam pads will reduce the energy impact from the round hitting your steel armor plate. Fit great in the plate carrier also right behind my steel plate.Read full review...

The ones I received were asymmetrical, but when you place them behind the armor, any impact would be diffused. Also does a great job at taking up extra space in a plate carrier.

These pads are a great addition to your AR500 plates and armor vest. They help with several things like filling in dead space inside the plate carrier pocket so that the armor plate sits secure and doesn't move around inside the pocket. These pads also add significant comfort versus having the steel plate in less padded contact with your chest or back. Obviously, they are also intended to reduce impact trauma should you have the misfortune of having an incident.
