Inexpensive port expansion

Running a couple of hardwired ethernet cables through the house, along with the computer and a couple of Obi devices used up my four router ports. This switch was the perfect solution. Just plug it in and hook one router port and your other ethernet cables to it. It effectively converts four open router ports to seven open ports for your non-wifi devices. I also bought a spare, in case I want to use two or more devices at the end of one of the remote ethernet runs. Except for having indicator lights to tell which ports are active, it is about as simple as a cube tap for an electrical outlet.Read full review...

Much better alternative than trying to convert wireless router to standard s10/100 witch

Was going to recode my unused wireless router as a switch, the price and ease of use of this device made it an easy choice. Plugged it in, connected LAN cables, all worked and seen on network, that easy. Wireless router conversion would of taken me some hours on research and coding. Garage sale item now.Read full review...

Great for adding a few ports in a small space.

Small form factor, low power consumption, auto negotiation, perfect for adding 4 extra ports where Gb speeds are not needed (most connections). 10/100 is fast enough for most things including movie streaming. I installed this in my RV so as to be able to upgrade the firmware in my TV & BD player via wifi repeater or my phones hot spot, much easier than taking it out. Most RV parks wifi is much to slow for movie streaming.Read full review...

Works as decscribed!

I needed extra ports for my internet connection to my DVR & my TV. I already had the ethernet cable run to the TV but also needed one for my DVR. I connected the ethernet cable to this hub then installed an ethernet cable to my TV and my DVR. Works like a dream.
As of right now, I see no cons. I am very happy with my purchase & would recommend it to anyone that needs extra ports!

TP Link 5

This thing works great. I used it for splitting an ethernet signal into 2 and still have a couple more ports if I want to split it further.

Home Networking on the Cheap

A great little device to hook up all your local devices where you don't use or can't use wireless networking. Very small and works well. You may have to use velcro to hold it down to your desk as wires might lift or turn the box.Read full review...
