Extremely good value, has its drawbacks but I'm very happy
So the 4 stars are based on incredibly good value rather than incredibly good TV but for the price it's really great.
Upside:
-- picture quality is great, much better than the Samsung it's replacing (which, to be fair, was pretty old). The colours are true, it's clear and crisp. I think holds its own with much more expensive brands.
-- very easy to set up, pretty much just screw it's feet on and plug it in. If you want to watch freeview via your aerial you need to scan.
-- As advertised it has really good connectivity for attaching devices.
-- even on power saving the picture is really good
Downside:
-- Sounds tinny but hooks up to soundbar so no problem
-- Android smart TV OS is a bit of a joke but it has chromecast so also not a problem for me, I just cast from my phone. If you like to use the inbuilt apps be aware that it doesn't have the streaming services from any of the UK channels - it just has UKTV app. It does have all the global comercial services.
It seems to have an inbuilt VPN which I haven't played with yet. Read full review...
