Great clean, great dirty, small footprint, cool looking, plenty loud, what more do you want?

Really great amp...I have split coil pickups Tele, and I can go clean or dirty just with the split coil switches and volume knob on guitar. The cranked volume overdrive is boutique-level sweet and smooth, not at all harsh like some 6V6 amps. The master volume works well, tone is consistent at all volume levels. Supros are known for a big midrange tone, and this amp is no exception, but I'd say it leans toward the lower end of the midrange so just sounds really huge, lots of bottom, and so I dial down the bass knob on the amp quite a bit (which doesn't make it thin sounding because the midrange is still very full) because I want zero competition with bass guitar / kick drum, but that's just me--bedroom players tend to want a thumpy bottom and you can get that with this amp in spades. The 10" speaker provides plenty of punch yet focused and sweet for clean sounds. I much prefer the clean tone of this amp compared to Fender "sparkle" which I often find to be borderline ice picky and have to battle by turning down treble some--with this Supro, it's just a nice straight full clean tone that gives you the sound of your guitar, beautiful. And yes it works great with pedals, I put an M-Audio Crunchbox (Marshall-like) in front of it and it's fab. Also a wah pedal, great. Reverb pedal and/or delay/modulation pedal in effects loop, great. Pretty lightweight and compact, but plenty loud to play with an average volume drummer; super cool looking, just a great amp.Read full review...
