THIS JUSTICE LEAGUE IS IN REAL TROUBLE WITHOUT SUPERMAN....IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE!
The Justice League's entire fight against Doomsday should have been printed in it's complete entirety here but it's not. I wanted to see even more of the emotional fallout of Superman's death, his actual funeral service, and how it affected the Justice League even more. The writer here keeps missing out on some pure gold here: Ice, Guy Gardner's romantic interest, leaves the team and he doesn't go after her? And Wonder Woman, the new team leader, has a calming effect on Guy Gardner?...Why?..Then the surviving Justice League members go on this HUGELY important recruitment drive for new team members to add more power to the team now that Superman's gone and then most of those new members, which are uninterestingly lame awful replacement choices by the way, are then quickly tossed to the side story wise while a third of the team fights Rot and Weapons Master?..LOL...And Blue Bettle, who was horribly beaten by Doomsday, should've spent years and years recovering from his injuries but now he's up and about and back on the Justice League team just 3 weeks later?..LOL...I LOVED Bloodwynd and he was my 2nd favorite character on the team! Sadly, the writer here gives Bloodwynd this really terrible "I'm descended from slaves"/"trapped in a gem" origin/backstory. Bloodwynd should've stayed this mysterious brooding hero that no one knew anything about. SO disappointed with this volume of the Justice League....Read full review...
