Low Risk and Tremendous Upside!
After reading numerous reviews I decided to take a leap of faith. So, let me qualify some potentially valuable points. I'm pretty active. An avid cyclist riding 3 to 4 days a week with rides varying between 15 to 25 miles each ride. No longer consider myself a runner, but definitely a jogger. Regularly brisk walks ranging from 2 to 3 1/2 miles approximately 5 times a week. This is sprinkled with push ups (50 to 60 easily), planks and stomach crunches 3 to 4 times a week. I'm 5'11' and 185 lbs.
I've had the machine about one week. Love it! My fitness goal is to tone not bulk and strengthen my core area (stomach). Started working with setting on "4" still leaving 4 levels to intensify my workouts. The machine is perfect for my wife. She currently does yoga and tai chi. Her workouts are to tone and not bulk as well. She uses setting 2 for her workouts.
Purchased the machine on sale. If you are looking to rehab, spice up your workouts or simply get in shape I definitely recommend this machine. Like others have referenced it is not in the league with the rowing machines in your local gym, but it is quality for your value.
If your number "1" goal is to bulk you might want to explore other options. The levels might not meet your resistance desire.
Good Luck.Read full review...

Not bad.
For the price you can’t expect too much more. Could use a bit more resistance. All in all a good value.

Great beginners rower
The Stamina X is a great rowing machine for beginners and I love that it offers 8 levels of resistance. It was easy to assemble and seems to be of high quality with no defects. I only gave 4 stars however because the velcro does not hold your feet in place. You have to improvise to make it work so I just attached the velcro together and hook my heels into the velcro so it still holds my feet and I can work out. Overall though it's a great price and gives a great workout that you can feel in every part of your body!Read full review...

Rower
Seems made ok but your feet are impossible to place and get the velcro right, tried over and over, only way to make it work is if someone helps

Great Rower
As mentioned earlier, the velcro straps seem to the main issue as it may loosen while rowing. I would recommend not using regular sneakers but to use water shoes as they seem to work best for me and kept the velcro on while working out. Other than that, the rower is not bulky and easy to use.Read full review...

Great
The machine is solid and with good shoes the feet don’t fall out of the footrests.
