Spare tire winch
Product works well and is easy to install.. Is a more simple design than original so will hopefully be more reliable. Good advise is to crank the tire up and down periodically to keep in good working order.Read full review...

Almost too small for 2500 wheels
Bought one of these for my 2003 Chevy 2500. The shackle was BARELY big enough to fit inside the hub. I welded on a little more of a shelf because I could not trust it the way it was. Would fit 1500 no problem. If you have a 2500 look for one with a wider bracket or expect to modify. Other than that it was exactly what I wanted for the right price.Read full review...

good for 1500, not so good for 2500
This product does not work for a 2500. Part that holds the tire will slide through the center hub of the rim. Had to weld extensions onto it to make it large enough.

Works and fits well
Purchased truck used without spare tire and winch, for about two years have been shuffling it around truck bed and inside truck. In about 30 Minutes from start to finish, plus clean up there sits my spare tire out of the way, wished I had done this years ago. Fit perfectly had to discover what size bolt to hold it in place that would have been a nice addition to the winch,. But most people are probably just replacing a broken one and not sure if bolt size is standard.Read full review...
