Had trouble believing that it took so long to find this movie. I really like sifi and I saw part of it on TV the other day and wanted to see all of it.

Colter Stevens, a US Army helicopter pilot whose last memory is flying in Afghanistan, wakes up on a commuter train. However, he discovers that he has assumed the identity of another man. 8 minutes later, the train explodes and Stevens finds himself in some kind of pod. He then talks to someone named Goodwin, who tells him he has to go back and find out who the bomber is. He is sent back to go through the whole thing again and attempts to find who the bomber is but fails. The bomb goes off and Stevens finds himself in the pod again. He is sent back another time, yet still cannot find out anything. When he returns, he asks what is going on. Goodwin and Rutledge, the scientist in charge, tell him that he is part of a project that can put someone in another person's consciousness during the last 8 minutes of their life. Cool movie. Really pops on blu-ray. Great on-screen extras.

Was not expecting this to be that great, but it paid off.

A repeating scenario on a train destined for destruction has the star "mentally" placed within a scenario and trying everything possible for a different outcome.

It never gets boring watching the same scene unfold in different ways.

The blu-ray version of this movie really pops and includes some of the best extras, with a small timer, that intersperses screen items like factoids, and brief interviews, that really add a lot to the experience if you watch it a second time.Read full review...

A great Science Fiction Story from Beginning to End

Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) wakes up on a train headed for Chicago and discovers he is in another mans body. Colter has been sent by the "Source Code Project" to find out who bombed the train early that day and to prevent that same person from attacking chicago with a Dirty bomb.

This movie has a great plot and great acting. It hits the mark as a Science Fiction story and has some believability to it. The writers did a good job switching between past and present and they managed to put in a great ending.

Gyllenhaal gives another great performance in this movie and is showing himself to be another great American actor.

Fresh concept, great delivery

A welcomed fresh concept and package in the Thriller class. Jake Gyllenhaal as an Army helicopter pilot who suddenly finds himself a passenger on a Chicago bound commuter train. For 8 minutes at a time he is returned to this train to try and discover a terrorist onboard. Vera Farmiga as the primary operative facilitating and guiding his actions to discover the bad guy. Great Movie great price.

This is a terrific movie. My only criticism would be the lack of extras. But ever since Blu ray that's where they all go.
