Awesome music marred by incredibly inept DVD presentation

The animated logo plays over and over during each edited episode (approx. 20 minutes or so each, meaning about 30 minutes have been deleted). The same commercials play over and over. Here are (mostly) 5 star artists on a 4 star (lots of lip-synching) show with a 1 star DVD release. If you don't mind hearing the Soul Train theme about 20 times per disc, go for it. i am a bit disappointed in this item. the commercials had me thinking i would be watch actual ol' episodes of soul train. instead they are only showin' certain acts perform on soul train. they rarely show the soul train line or the acts that the announcer says will be on the show. so, you can best believe i will not purchase vol. 2 or 3 and how many more volumes are or will be for sell.Read full review...

Dance, dance, dance!

Fun, lots of fun! Sometimes there is too much talking but that's how it was the show. The Soul Train dancers making questions to the singers and groups.
