A lot of camera in a small package.

Sony's sensors are second to none. Particularly good in low light which I shoot quite a bit of. The camera is a significant improvement over the FS100 which I already had. Far more choices in lighting effects and slow motion which I also use frequently.

The ability to use servo zoom is a huge addition.

I haven't used it enough to find out how well it manages battery power, but if it's like its little brother, the FS100, I'll be able to shoot all day on one of the larger lithium batteries.

Still good video cam in 2018

With external RAW recorder and proper knowledge, it can gives you same dynamic range, same recording format as today's camera in more affordable price.

If there is no issue with a camera, then I recommend to choose FS700 rather than A7s series or GH5, unless you need lightweight camera.Read full review...
