Best lens for the money by far
This lens is easy to use, produces very sharp excellent photos throughout the focal range. I have used it for landscapes, wildlife, and a few others in only a few days. Excellent versatility!

Big lens with top performance.
Great lens for bird photography. While it is large and fairly heavy, I don't have trouble hand holding it and the internal zoom is worth the larger size in my opinion. With the a9, it handles the 1.4x teleconverter very well, producing super sharp results, as long as the shutter speed is fast enough.
The attached images were taken with this and the 1.4x teleconverter. The first is a 2x crop, and both reveal excellent feather detail with the lens wide open. Read full review...
