This is a really awesome phone! its perfect for those not wanting to use a touchscreen. wifi is good, camera is awesome, sound quality is very nice! the phone looks really cool, its very unique. some people have thought it was an actual camera when theyve seen mine. overall i"d give this phone 8/10. some cons are the screen is small compared to phones nowadays, but no biggy. the app store on it is very crappy, nothing worth downloading. web browser is okay, kind of old looking. i really recommend this phone for someone wanting a feature phone. Sony W995 / summary of 10 years of experience

A very reliable cell phone, among the best ever made. Very good functionality for use as a phone, better sound quality than any "Smart" phone I have ever used...whether you have loss of hearing or just like to listen to music in an advanced headset...the audio of W995 i chrystal clear. I have found the portable AKG headsets to be a perfect match. but you also get a noice cancelling set of earplugs with the phone. Battery time is 5 days plus, and contrary to the competion today, the W995 also work with very low available signal from the network. The phone also has 3G and wifi connectivity, although limited functionality: nobody write "apps" for W995 no more. But who cares...? You also have a rather good GPS and google maps as an extra bonus. For anyone who have primary phone and SMS funcitonality as their main priority...this is the best choise ever! I hade my first W995 for 10 years, now very happy to be able to buy a brand new one to be my faithful companion for the next decade :-) Read full review...

If you are not into smartphones and need a decent mp3 player then get it

Phone itself is great. I got it mainly because its a Walkman phone and i don't want to carry a separate mp3 player with me. Its a great phone with easy menu which you can customize. Also to note 3.5 jack helps a lot so u don't have to deal with flimsy native connection of Sony Ericson( Their included headphones have badly designed connector which gets loose and disconnects after a while of use)Read full review...

It's an excellent phone with all the top features and long battery life! It's java OS with wifi ,gps ,3.5g,3g ,edge,gprs, quadband, ACCELEROMETER,CRAZY HI-FI LOUDSPEAKERS ON THE BOTTOM AND TOP AND AN EXCELLENT CAMERA!It has a great browser and a nice slide.
There are so many features that the only things that are missing (but i didn't wanted them at first place) are :1)it's not a smartphone ,so it doesn't read office and pdf and can't load flash on websites ,but the browser is really top quality and you can load flash lite 2.1 games and wallpaper/screen severs with is really cool! 3)it's video is 320x240 .mp4 with aac sound ,but don't forger its a music phone with a CRAZY CYBER-SHOT camera. 3)It doesn't have an touch display but has an accelerometer ,and 4) there is no infrared ,but who the ** cares about infra! oh you my experience a bit of low quality on youtube and it can't play .avi(haven't tested if it really can't ,but it's not a smartphone and can play high quality other format including mp4 :)

about the camera it's a cyber-shot like camera , and the flash light on the back is LED bbut not a yellow light ,it's a white light and my last phone had a Xsenon flash ,but this white led seems to get more colsely than the standart ones ,it's powerful.

Crazy music phone with gps ,great 8.1 high quality camera ,accelerometer and nice web-browser!

(oh if all those features up there are a desire for you just look up on se Vivaz u5 or X10 ,same price )

The best from Sony Ericsson. Better than investment!

I've been using this model for over 2 years and never have any problem with this one. The photograph and video is excellent. Call handling and other features are real good. This is the best from Sony Ericsson. I've been using Sony Ericsson for more than 15 models since last 15 years and this model beats all. 3.5 inches jack helps a lot while you can choose your own headphones. Mine is still working in good shape. The only bad thing is that you have to check(closely) whether you will get the "real" cover case since all aluminium will look almost alike.Read full review...

w995 good walkman phone

I bought this product because i previously had a w580i which i loved because of its Walkman capabilities and functions so i wanted to stay in the walkman phone family. I researched and found this phone and on paper seemed great for all i needed it for. Overall i believe the phone is a great phone but there are some shortcomings as the camera is not that great and the button layout and functionality of the buttons has changed which i am not accustomed to.Read full review...

The experience of the phone for two weeks.

Phone is generally very good. The sound is excellent.
But there are also disadvantages:
1. Headphones appreciate by 3 points (measured on a five-point system).
2. Pictures taken with the camera phone, even under ideal shooting conditions, it is impossible to estimate by more than 3 points (very noticeable noise matrix).

Great phone for the money

Great phone, easy to use, good cam I like the size of the phone. The down side is drop calls. The mp3 player is great,
you can't load apps.
