A great value for the dollar!

I have not had the opportunity to use all of the features of this camera yet but the picture quality is satisfactory. I find it easy to use. I haven't opened the instruction booklet yet. Maybe I should, the camera probably has features worth exploring if I knew they were there! LOL! I feel the price was more than fair and all of the included accessories make this package a super deal. Read full review...

Not too bad for the price, but the other Sony's are better

The biggest problem is the delay in the camera for taking a picture. It is slow, and once you push the button, you have to remain still for a second before it registers or it blurs the picture. It is also a little larger than the sure-shot model. It doesn't take as good as low light pictures as the sure-shot, probably because they blur too easily. Other than that, it is not bad for the price. The battery has a good life between recharges, so that is very helpful. Read full review...

Great budget camera

If you are looking for a 20MP camera on a budget this is a great choice. While the image quality when zooming in under low light isn't always ideal it does shoot crisp pictures in most all settings. I inserted a microSD card left over from one of my phones and used a SD adapter to fit it in the camera. It immediately recognized it and it has been easy to pull pictures off of the camera when I need to. If you are expecting vivid HD images then this camera isn't for you as I did find I got a lot of slightly blurred images or fuzzy ones in the dark because the camera let too much *light noise* in from things like scoreboards, neon lighting, and table lamps. I had to play around with the settings to find the appropriate shooting mode for many locations but a day or two of playing with it and I learned the menu and how the modes worked pretty well without having to glance at the booklet. I was pleasantly surprised on the sound that the camera was able to pick up. For an example I was at my nephew's Varsity football game sitting at about the 40 yard line halfway up the stands and I wanted to record their post game chant. I sit in a big group of chatty people and the camera picked up only the noise going on in front of the camera and right next to me. It also picked up clearly their chant from at least 40ft away which was great. You can also tap the shutter button to have the camera clear up a shot and then hold it down to take the picture which is handy when working in odd settings. As I said on a budget this is one of the better choices and it is loaded with user friendly features that even my young nieces figured out in a snap. I used the automatic shoot mode with automatic flash detection and it came out with some great shots in both bright light, low light, and football field at night under stadium lights. The camera is quick, responsive, and the battery life so far has been excellent. I charged it once and I've used it at least once a day over the past couple weeks to shoot images and video and it barely lost 25% battery. I recommend adding an additional battery and a battery charger - I got one brand new for less than $15 and a hard case for $6 if you are planning on using this camera for a while and using it heavily. I did not have to install drivers for my pc but WIndows 10 is designed so drivers don't have to be installed or it automatically finds them for older devices. I simply plugged the camera in, hit the power button, and it went into usb mode so I could open the folders and pick out photos I wanted to copy. The usb cord it comes with is adequate for most data transfer and I have not yet had to transfer more than 1GB at a time off of the camera. It isn't usb 3.0 so you may find a bit of a slowdown if you do a high volume transfer. So far with image size it isn't compressed but also the pics and videos aren't taking up a ton of space. I simply have a 32GB card inserted and feel that will be more than enough for my needs as I tend to transfer all of my stuff off and onto a storage drive once a month to keep track of all of my overly annoying paparazzi moments with my favorite family/friends haha ;)Read full review...

Simple Camera

We wanted a simple, small camera to replace our larger one that did not fit well in a pocket. So far we are please with the Sony. We have also used a Canon Elph, which has more features. Both are good choices.Read full review...

an easy to use camera that takes good pictures. size of a deck of cards

Bought it as a gift for someone who sends crummy pictures from her old smart phone. Takes great pictures, it's small enough the she can carry it in her pocket always. You will need to buy a memory card as the camera does not come with one. eBay has sellers for memory cards at a good price.Read full review...

Good little digi-camera!

A somewhat old camera from 2014 but it's still useable on daily basis! Setting up the camera is straightforward from the start but may need some adjustments to take photos from different environments. The 'AUTO' settings isn't that reliable for many scenarios and manually setting it up take some time but it's worth it for the shots!Read full review...

What I Had Been Waiting For

This kind of resolution at an affordable price is what I had been waiting for. I used to take a lot of pictures many years ago, when we all used film. Now I will probably resume my old photobug ways, especially since now I can easily load pictures onto my computer.Read full review...

Would by the exact same or the next gereration Sony camera. *****

You can't go wrong for this price and quality. The 20MP takes breath taking pictures. You can zoom in and take a picture then... View that picture and zoom in even more while viewing the picture to get even closer clear crisp pix. The Auto features are sooo Easy. You really don't have to mess with the settings. Even close ups and fast moving objects are automatically set for you. This Sony camera also reads All my SD cards from All my trail cameras . The camera in the past wouldn't do that.Read full review...

Great camera for still shots

Camera is perfect size for shirt pocket or any where small. People with large hands may find buttons are small but for most it is not a major problem. Colors are brought out nicely.
