Good OEM Mags

These are instances of good quality magazines to add to your battery inventory. I bought these 8 rd mags over the 7 rds, for two reasons: they allow one more round to be carried and, the longer mag gives me a better, solid grip. But if you have small hands, the shorter one may fit you ok. Plus, the shorter ones conceal better. But I'd rather deal with a slightly longer mag to conceal than compromise a good grip. This all boils down to a personal preference, like any aspects of CCW. They all fit exactly as the mags that came with the firearm, and all freely drop cleaning when released, so tactical reloads are unimpaired. The springs are tight, but that is to be expected with new magazines like this, so they just need a little work. As long as they are maintained properly, they should last a long time. For the M&P Shield, I don't think you can go wrong with these mags if you want to have 8 rds instead of 7.Read full review...

Not sure if these are genuine

These are not the same quality nor finish of the magazines that came with the Shield. The metal on these has a dull/galvanized look vs. the shiny stainless steel finish of the originals. The spring also rattles and not as smooth. So not sure if these are genuine or fake.Read full review...

Solid magazine

The magazine is the gun, if it's not reliable you're housed. These appear to be quality mag's that engage easily and drop free. So far I have had no failures to feed or failure of any sort. Note though, although this is my carry gun, it is not shot as much as my full size MP 9 by any means. Yes I know, but that's just how it is.Read full review...

Authentic OEM is the ONLY Way

Sure..clips mfg. by the Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) are always going to cost more...and while is may be an acceptable practice to buy NON OEM replacements or refills, this is simply not the case when it comes to pistol or rifle magazines. Often times, knockoffs from China and other parts of world simply do not fit properly and I had them actually fall out when shooting. The springs are usually made out a lesser grade metal and become weak and even fail after a few years,

Again, I all about saving money and looking for a deal...but this is not the place.

Genuine Smith & Wesson M&P 9 Shield Quality

Genuine 8 Round M&P 9 Shield clip...Quality manufacturing...Spacer at base adds.a perfect amount of length for easier handling to fit my hand size perfectly...Some complain about the spacer being loose and having a gap, but it works well...There are some cheaper alternatives out there. Original manufacturer items when it comes to spare clips ...Has functioned perfectly thus far...Springs are tight when brand new...A speed loader helps for faster reload times with less work...

8 Round magazine for M&P 9.

This is a factory original replacement magazine for the Smith & Wesson 9 M&P Shield.
Works perfectly in my pistol. The only complaint, which applies to all my S&W mag.'s for the pistol is a very stiff spring. Recommend an auto-loader of some type for loading magazines. The magazine I received is of nice quality, and worked flawlessly.Read full review...

Smith and Wesson M&P Shield 2.0 Magazine

OEM magazine. Fits and functions just like the mags that come with the firearm. My only complaint is that the springs are extremely stiff at first and unless you use a loading device (speed loader) it is nearly impossible to get all eight rounds loaded in. They do loosen up to where they can be hand loaded if you let them sit fully loaded for about a week or so. But I had this same issue with the magazines that came with the firearm so this is not something that is exclusive to the ones that I purchased after the fact. I definitely would recommend and will likely purchase one or two more.Read full review...

It's a Smith & Wesson – What More Can You Say?

This is a Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm Shield magazine. It holds eight rounds and extends the grip of the Shield. My wife shoots her Shield in IDPA competition and uses these magazines. They function very well. The springs are tight and present the cartridges well into the chamber. She has never had a misfire or failure to load, shooting thousands of rounds.Read full review...

Great Deal

Needed another clip for this firearm and wanted a real S&W. The price was very good, shipping was fast and there was nothing wrong. Used it the next week at range and now it's one of my carry clips. The first time using them the 8th round is really hard to get in but just use it a few times and then it's fine. It's because the clips are so small the spring in it is very tight when full. So full the first few times the slide needs a nudge to go back into place when not chambering a round. This was same with the magazines that came with the firearm.Read full review...
