Until you own a SLIK monopod you can't imagine how handy it will be

I've had this identical product for more than 20 years. It's particularly handy for holding my video camera study. It was destroyed when a car ran over it. I searched on eBay to replace it. I had many choices and to my delight there were 3 identical to my original. I could have purchased the new version for 3x the price available on eBay, but why should I when this one is perfect and like brand new when it arrived. I noticed the new model has 3 quick-clip extensions, mine has only two, which means the newer model is 3 inches shorter at it's shortest length but 6 inches longer with fully extended but that did not make it worth more to me. However, if the identical old model was not available I would have purchased the new SLIK model because I like the features that allow me to tilt and pan with the head ithe camera is mounted on. My original model had the same mounting head. You could even take a "selfie" with this head but with many monopods you cannot. Not only does the monopod hold your camera study but it eliminates the fatigue of trying to hold your camera study, particularly with long zoom shots. I keep it in the trunk of my car so it's always available whenever I might need it. It's just so handy and easy to carry and use.Read full review...
