Be a Sing Star

My wife & I have been a Sing Star fan since Vol. 1. We love having friends over to play along when we have parties. It is always a big hit! Friends with other gaming systems always want to get a PS3 and Sing Star after they leave. This version is basically the same as the other version, but adds the different music tracks. This is not a bad thing, except for the disc swap. I'm sure there is some sort of copyright lawyer crap they'd have to deal with to copy it to the HDD, but it doesn't make this any less fun!!! The game play is perfect, w/ the music video, lyrics, and pitch bars helping you become a singing sensation in your living room. You can even get online and purchase new songs to add to your singing library. That alone will help to ensure this wont get obsolete. Also with the updates to the software you can disc swap back to older PS2 Sing Star games even if your PS3 isn't backwards compatible. ps- That's great when you find the PS2 versions for a nice low price. ;)

If you are even remotely interested in singing karaoke, this is what you need to get! Others try copying the perfect formula of Sony's Sing Star w/o complete success. This is why all versions of Sing Star's have been virtually untouched.

Great Karaoke game with videos for whole family

My kids love Singstar, they know most of the songs. I enjoy it too. It's great@parties & everyone loves it & the actual videos of the songs.. I have vol.1, 2, Abba & Queen, I only wish they would have more Singstar games available for the PS3 in the US; most of the newer versions are only available in the UK. I have the PS3 slim, not backwards compatible so I can't use the old Singstar games for PS2.Downloading one song at a time from internet is costly, cheaper to buy game.UK games are too expensive.What's up Sony bring the Pop edition to the US.Read full review...

Bought this as a gift for my 13 year old daughter, I had to purchase special microphones to play this game (VERY INEXPENSIVE 2 microphones for 14.00), which I was not aware of this when I purchased this game. I thought that the regular microphes for ps3 would work, and they did not. It was my own fault because I did not do any research on the game-- But -IT WAS WORTH IT!!! Fun Karaoke

A fun party game for PS3. The Singstar vol 2 is a great karaoke collection. It feature 30 popular hit songs. Is not the best game ever made but will be a great entertainment when you have friends over. Make sure to purchase the USB mic that sold separately.Read full review...

I had singstar for PS2 and it was awesome now I wanted to try the PS3 verison and I absolutelly love it! i love the feature my sinstar online you can share great things with other singstar users, also it comes with trophies hard to get but a great challenge to singers make them have fun

SingStar Vol. 2 for Playstation 3

My kids own a Ps2 and they have many singstar games and now its possible just use them on Ps3 .Only thing would be nice if the ps2 disks where loaded on the hard drive on the ps3 so there would be no swapping of disks.Sony could also improve the songs they offer in the shop.There is nothing wrong with the game itself it continues the ps2 singtar era and makes it even better.Read full review...

missing crucial component

didnt come with the proprietary usb connector that makes the mic useless without. it wont work with a generic one. disappointing!

Great game and service

bought the game three weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive phone. Overall, I'd recommend the game if you're on a budget.
