amazing book, very intriguing

Shoe dog is a fun and easy to read memoir about Nike. the way Phil Knight wrights is different than most authors. in some business memoirs the authors make the business process look easy and exaggerate their successes instead of explaining their failures and defeats. Phil is very honest with what happened and sometimes talks more about failures and weaknesses than his successes. I would definitely recommend Shoe Dog because of its fun nature and the great tips on what to do and what not to do when starting a business.

The book Shoe Dog by Phil knight is a memoir about Phil Knights process in starting Nike. Phil knight went to japan to get a supplier and started selling Onitsuka tigers. he later progressed his business while having to deal with court dates and debt. he eventually got on his feet and made "Nike" his full time career and became very successful. my favorite parts of the book were when Phil had a victory or passed a milestone. the milestones make you want to sit up and read faster to find out whats next. Though the book is great and fun to read there are parts that leave you bored with only one or two milestones per chapter but the drama will keep you intrigued.Read full review...

Nike, By Buck - You will never look at Nike products the same

I love to read, but for me, I can never make the time to read a priority. So I generally read pretty slowly, taking several weeks to finish a book. I could not put down this book, and honestly, it has reignited my passion for reading more books.

Phil (Buck) does an amazing job of taking the reader through his journey in such detail that at times I felt like I was there. Even know, I feel like I somehow lived his story. We all know Nike and wear it daily, but you will have a new found respect and understanding of what it took to bring Nike to all of us today.
