High quality sound for a modest price

I bought this item because of Sennheiser's reputation for quality headphones/earbuds. My general musical experience with this set is very good. The spatial soundstage, or what I call, three dimensional imaging is excellent. The midrange and high frequency material is very clear and life-like. The bass response is good, but not exceptional. This doesn't have any negative effect with music enjoyment over all, but just stating a subtle deficiency that I have noticed after listening to many different catagories of music. My only complaint would be, given they are of circumaural design, this particular set fits too tightly over the ear causing ear discomfort and sweating after prolonged listening.
