Excellent, flawless device for a backup phone!!!

I bought this one cheap for $100 jus to run some apps that arent avilable on my Lumia 925, although its android, it is still flawless. This thing has a AMOLED display, I like AMOLED cuz the black is jus black and doesnt look like it's lit, and Lumia 925 is also AMOLED. I like it that although it comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but still I can upgrade to 4.12 Jelly Bean without rom the whole thing. Well I have some highlights: this thing is fluent enough as a ultimate device should be, this thing works really good, but the problems are: IT DOESNT HAVE A SIM CARD SLOT meaning cant plug a SIM card in. IT DOESNT SUPPORT MORELOCALE, so I did rom the device jus to get Simp Chinese. This thing's battery is 1800 mAh but it drains fast. When I rom it I got a problem: this thing reconizes itself as a I9100 which is a offical Galaxy S II and if u use I9100 rom, the wifi, and some soft buttons wont work, and then if u dont rom it back to offical, it will not accept itself's rom. I like it that this thing worth its money.... I think I can still do gaming on a $100 device still.Read full review...

not bad

Portions of this review were taken from our evaluation of the Samsung Epic 4G Touch, since that device and the Samsung Galaxy S II 4G for Boost Mobile are almost identical.

Older smartphones, especially ones sporting legendary brands or from very successful product lines often find new life on prepaid, budget, and regional wireless carriers. The $369.99 Samsung Galaxy II 4G is an excellent example of this phenomenon. Similar to action-movie characters who have lived through countless sequels, the Galaxy S II doesn’t move quite as fast as it once did. Even so, armed with all the tools that made the phone great in its heyday, such as fast dual-core processing, a lovely high-contrast AMOLED screen, and 4G data, the Galaxy S II 4G can still throw a mean punch. That’s especially true now that the gadget runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It may be pricey and a year old, but it's a well-appointed package and money well spent on Boost MobileRead full review...

Good value for money

It is an excellent phone, although I could not use some functions because they are made for Sprint subscribers, as I am in a different country I can't use these specifically made function for Sprint subscribers. This cellphone is a very energy consuming model, The battery last only a few hours even when only browsing the internet or viewing photosRead full review...

Galaxy D 710 is Definitely and EPIC II Phone!

This phone is the best on the market right now. The picture and video quality is straight sick. I can't name any other cell phone with the camera quality of this one. The battery life is a major upgrade from the original Samsung Epic. The screen is mega large which gives you superior video viewing. It's really easy to use and has tons of apps to download from the Android Market. With 16GB of built in memory plus a memory card slot for extra memory, Samsung Epic II is in a class all it's own. This phone definitely lives up to its hype.Read full review...

Power House Smartest Smart Phone Since the Evo!

Simply put this is the best phone on the market! Even better than the Google Galaxy Nexus. The GNex should be the Epic 4g Touch's little sister. I have had a long list of powerful Androids and this is the best yet.

I got the same feeling holding this phone that I got when I first held the Evo. A lot of people complain about the build quality, but the build is good. Its made out of a combination of polymer and a metal trim.

I was a Samsung hater. I specifically skipped the gs Epic 1 because of the build quality, reports of lag and poor updates. I was an HTC fan, but the E4gT changed my mind. Once you get used to the battery life and the light weight you will never want to go back to the slow sluggish heavy HTC brand.

I could go on and on about this phone. The battery life is good probably the best of the Android phones That I have owned. Its the most root friendly device I have ever seen becuase its almost impossible to brick.

Easily overclocks to 1.7 ghz. Right now my device is going on 13 hours since last charge so battery life is good. Much better than the Evo was or the Evo 3d for that matter.

I thought I would not like Touch Wiz, but while I used it I loved it. Almost as much as I like HTC sense. Touch Wiz was short lived since I installed a rom with a custom launcher.

If you want the most powerful phone known to man right now its packed into the Sprint, and ATT GS2. The Tmobile one is an HTC device wrapped in a Samsung body stay away from it. Samsung Exynos is the fastest processor in a phone today and that is what you want not a crap draggon!

I do have dislikes though and that would be the power button on the side. I hate that. I also do not like how by default text re-wrap is not on in the browser, and how the android buttons back light is set to 1.5 seconds by default. But those are small issues.

Cnet gave this phone 2011 phone of the year!

Buyer Beware, no orignial accessories! No original packaging

It may be too early to leave a review, since I just received the phone in my hand. Pro's: there's no sign of wear and tear on the phone. All the functions on the phone seem to be working fine. Plus, they added an car charger. The phone was sent earlier than expected (a day before).

Cons: the phone did not come in it's original package,so how do I know its new...especially since the phone is listed as new. The phone does not come with its original accessories....i.e wall charger and micro card. Instead, they gave me the cheap chargers and chargers that don't belong to samsung (LG), those cheap chargers have to be replaced very frequently. And, no instruction booklet.

To me if the phone is listed as new I want all the ORIGINAL ACCESSORIES that phone came with as if I would have purchased it from the sprint store. I'm very upset about that.

I would say if you don't care about little things like that than the phone is a great buy.

The best "smart phone" on the market right now!

The Samsung Galaxy S II is my first "smart phone", but I have been using 3 different Android tablets for a couple of years, so I am familiar with the OS. I basically "married" my cell phone service to a smaller, but much faster Android tablet with 3G, 4G, GPS, front and rear facing hi res cameras, and more! Screen size is perfect, colors are incredible, and text is extremely easy for my 60 year old eyes to read. My girlfriend also has the G II, and we use video chat more than we use the phone, for better sound, and incredible clear video! Only complaint is that Bluetooth cannot be used during video chat, only for the phone. Otherwise, this is probably the best, or at least certainly one of the best smart phones on the market right now. And Samsung has become a huge success for their cutting edge products that always seem to work right out of the box, and then never die, and their prices are great! (Samsung electronics are inside each and every iPhone)!Read full review...

Great for the cost, but problematic at times.

I bought this phone when switching from AT&T to Ting Mobile, which uses Sprint's network.

The SII is not as intuitive a smartphone as some other models, and can be problematic with Bluetooth pairing (if your bluetooth is on and in range, it will try to pair, even if you are currently using the speaker on the phone for a conversation).
The battery life (with minimal use) is only 18 hours per charge; so if you forget to charge it overnight, it will lose power by mid morning the next day.
There is much more swiping that seems necessary, especially where one thinks a tap would be sufficient.
The camera, though touting high specs, does not produce as clear images as some other smartphone cameras.

Despite these criticisms, I am fairly satisfied with the phone, though if I could have found an Sprint iPhone as affordable, I would have purchased that instead. I can, however, recommend the newer model S4, which has improved usability and features.

This is just a dream phone. i bought this product for personal use. I like the android features about this product also the size of the phone and the 8 mega pixel camera is just awesome. My think battery life is little but other wise no problem at all. As compared to others this mobile is much better and its the best model latest one.

The Best Android Phone

Samsung finally got the best Android phone on the market! They hit it dead on with the performance, quality, camera, battery life, and overall feel of the phone. Although I'm not a fan of TouchWiz, I can deal with it. Battery life is excellent and the phone is the perfect size and weight. I'm getting compliments everywhere I go with it. SuperAmoled+ is also a great screen technology.Read full review...
