Good phone for a good price.

Bought this phone as a replacement. Bought at a good price. It's simple and easy to use. Very compact, stylish. The sound when you're talking isn't all that great, that's the only thing I would change.Read full review...

Basic phone is all I need

This is basic as basic can be...I pay as you go, using T mobile 1000 minute purchase, which lasts me about a year...that means I'm spending about $8 monthly for phone service that I NEED...no needless yapping sessions and the like, which I find a nuisance anyway. Without a plan, of course, I must furnish my own phone. The phone itself 'seems' a bit flimsier than my previous Nokia, which lasted 4 years. If this one lasts another four, or at least until Armaggedon, that'd be wonderful! I'm thinking it will. By the way, the camera specs don't seem to be better than my previous but the pictures I took look quite good, surprisingly so.Read full review...

Nice, no-frills phone for the money

This phone was very affordable and seems to be pretty durable. I've dropped it a few times with no consequence. Sound quality seems decent. The speakerphone is loud, though people on the other end say my voice sounds distorted. This is definitely a no-frills phone. The ringtone selection is lame, the alarm (which I use every day) is a pain to turn off (it stays in snooze mode, and goes off every five minutes) but other than that, I really like it. I haven't had reception problems or dropped calls. If you are looking for a solid, simple cell phone you should seriously consider this one. Radio Shack has them for $29.Read full review...

Basic yet simple to program and use with quality pictures.

I bought this for my husband because he cannot understand all the fancy buttons on the newer phones. This phone is very basic yet does just about anything you need. The picture quality is great. The battery life is at least 7 days in use. Easy to read display. Easy to program. Overall, a basic phone and great for anyone that doesn't care about texting or going on the internet.Read full review...

Wonderful Slider Phone

When your cellular provider decides not to give you an upgrade because you have a past due balance and your current phone is non operational, you need to be smart.

I came to eBay and found the phone I wanted at far less than the upgrade price would have been. This phone is much like my old Samsung slider. I keep my phone in my pocket with keys so it needs to be durable and not always go dialing out randomly. It does both of these things.

The only two things I don't like are 1) No real place to put your thumb to slide open the phone (my old phone had a little ridge that made this easier). 2) It doesn't display the time on the screen when it's closed.

I got the phone for $27 used with shipping. It would have cost me at least $50+ fees with T-Mobile who wouldn't give me my only upgrade I'd even tried to use in 7 years of patronage.

Overall, I think Samsung makes a nice phone. I would definitely buy Samsung again next time I need a phone; they seem to last forever.

Samsung SGH T239

Get what you NEED and WANT and you will never be disappointed! This is a GREAT quality phone without the high price! Calling and texting is great. Add to that it has voice recorder, date reminder, speakerphone, alarm, camera w/picture text, and many more features. Slide to turn on, you don't have to hit a button, locked when closed so you don't get charged for unintentional access. Dose not require additional service upgrades to operate but has them as an option. It covers my needs. I would recommend it to anyone. You need more features? GET A PHONE THAT HAS THEM.Read full review...

Samsung SGH T139 (T-Mobile

I needed a phone with a camera and voice to use on a trip to Alaska. I can text, send pictures, send pictures with voice, internet, and it works very well as a phone too. T-Mobile has coverage at my destination. The phone price was very good and no contract. It has many options on the plan and I found one that was right for me.Read full review...

Very nice and simple to use.

Samsung SGH T239 - Gray (T-Mobile) Cellular Phone is pretty much basic cell phone. If you need phone just for incoming or outgoing calls, nothing can go wrong with this phone. It has some other features but some of them are kinda difficult to do on this type of the phone.(Text messaging, Internet browsing etc...) But this is still excellent value for the money I paid for it.Read full review...

Broken Cell Phone

The ad said that the phone had "issues". The back of the phone was missing so I couldn't use it. I just threw it away and was forced to buy another one because the back was what I needed.
