Product is so much more advanced than my gear s2. The battery life blows me away. My s2 had to be charged daily, this 3 every 2.5 days with a colored background to boot. With the 3 I can make and hear calls much better. It is more responsive than the 2. Its is light years ahead of the two in capability. Even the gear wearables app allows for way more control over the s3 than the s2.
Also product came with some chemical I can not get off the screen, however it does no effect visibility of screen as long as power saving mode is not on. Also part of the minute marker ring is chipped and cracked,it is staying in place even working at a warehouse but not pictured when sold, just cosmetic, if it starts to come off that's another story.Read full review...

Do not buy the used carrier version
I've got the Bluetooth version of this watch and it's great, so I decided to buy another one for a sibling. Little did I know, i ordered a cellular version, AT&T. Even tho I have AT&T, I couldn't get the standalone network to work at all. I did some digging and apparently the cell versions are one-time use, other than Bluetooth capabilities. This watch is a keeper!
My previous watches (Martian Notifier and Pebble) could be considered "semi-smart", so this is my first true smart watch. I'm pretty amazed at what it can do. I have this paired with a non-Samsung Android phone, and all the functions appear to work fabulously. I'm not into "health tracking" so the heart rate, activity reminders, calorie counter are of little use, but the notification features I use several times an hour. Battery life for me has been about 1-1/2 days per charge. The watch is slightly on the bigger size, but still looks pretty good on my slim wrists. Beautiful watch, but only for men. For females, maybe the S2 or the new ones.
The watch has similar features to those of the S2, but slightly better. The screen is bigger and looks more like a real watch. The leather band gives it a classier look than the plasticky looking one of the S2. The S2 looked more sporty.
The watch links perfectly with Samsung phones and has plenty of options for the watch faces for free. There are also a multitude of apps that make your experience much better.
It takes a little longer to charge than the regular S2, but the battery life is way better on this one. The S2 version would last me only about a day and I would see it about half battery life about midday. With this one, I see the battery life barely go to about 80% at the end of the day (Disclaimer: I get a lot of notification all day, over 100 emails and about 10 texts).Read full review...

Highly recommend the gear S3
extremely happy with the gear S3. it has a classic look and I have more watch face options that I could ever possibly use. it was very easy to set up and use. it has many functions and apps that I can add, I am having fun exploring and finding new apps and functions and always amazed at what I find, my favorite feature is Samsung Pay, pay through the watch at any card swipe whether they have the feature or not. My wife has an apple watch, which is good, but doesn't have the all the features of the gear S3 at twice the price. If you're looking to save a few dollars on a smartwatch, the Samsung gear S3 is a great option. The new Galaxy Watch offers longer battery life, but if you have skilled hands you can replace the battery yourself on the gear S3. I use the ones mostly for its core features and I like that you can modify the style much more than you can with an Apple watch.
