Patterson/Roughan need to team up more! SAIL was great!

I like all of Patterson's books, and when he teams up with Roughan, you just know your going to be hooked from page 1. Only complaint I have about "SAIL" was that I would have thrown Peter Carlyle's sorry a____! in prison for life. He got off too easy. What a scum bag! Okay Patterson and Roughan, get busy and get another book out! I will admit that the family did get out of some pretty terrifying moments, almost unbelievable, if it weren't for one of the good guys dying! But you just can't go wrong with a Patterson book and with Roughan's hand in it, they make a team worth reading anytime! Once I picked up the book, it was impossible to put down!Read full review...

Sail by Howard Roughan, James Patterson (2008)

If your a James Patterson fan it's just like most, quick, easy to read, great ending. This book was the first book I read by this author and it got me so hooked I've read 6 of his novels in a month. Highly recommend this reading material and this author.

There is no delay in this book. It captures you right from the beginning. Every chapter leads you to the next so quickly and you want to know what is going to happen next.

Sail by James Patterson

Sail is a James Patterson creation and usually that's all you need to know when looking for a good book. Patterson has done it again with Sail. It's an old cliche to say it's a page turner but that's exactly what it is. Patterson's use of short chapters keeps you reading just one more until before you know it you're at the end of another book.
The characters of sail are real and believable although the plot may be a little contrived. The ending has a slight twist but not quite as unexpected as most Patterson novels.
Still, if you like to escape and enjoy reading page after page without being bored, then Sail is a must read.

SAIL, A GREAT READ another classic by James Patterson

This was a great James Patterson stand alone book. It had a whole bunch of plot twists that you could not see coming. Sail, had in the very beginning had a list of the characters. I wish that all books did this, naming the top 5 or 6 people who the book is about. This was a page turner that I read in 2 days and was very hard to put down the first day but sleep was needed. I have read most of his books. I follow most of James Patterson series except the Alex Cross books. Overall SAIL, IS A GREAT BOOK.Read full review...

great book

When I purchased this book and I did not think I would enjoy it because it sounded so depressing. Was I in for a surprise! It was terribly enlightening about family and so suspenseful. Patterson has really done it again. I read through it so fast because I could not wait to see how it would end. I have always enjoyed any book by this author but he outdid himself with this one. It is one of my favorites.Read full review...

Sail ON INTO A GREAT THRILL~ Patterson at his best~

Anne Dunne is recently widowed~ her life and her family are falling apart~

she decides a "dream" vacation will turn the family around~ too bad it is more of a "nightmare" her oldest son has turned to drugs, her teenage daughter is suicidal and youngest son becomes NON verbal~ ADD to a great thrilled "plot twist" so very typical and fun in a Patterson Novel~ ONE OF HIS BEST~

I GIVE THIS ONE A SOLID 10 OUT OF 10 FOR Supense and plot~~ PATTERSON CHILLER THRILLER~ you will LOVE it~

Another good book by this author

This was an easy book to read but pretty graphic. It was unpredictable to the finish which is what makes a good book. I love buying books on ebay as you can easily find your favorite authors and get the books delivered to your door at a great price. A fun way to enjoy reading.Read full review...

Not one of his best but okay

This book was okay. Maybe I've read too many Patterson books but it seems they are getting a bit "Hokey". Some of the characters are just silly: example: when everything is going horribly wrong, the characters are making jokes, etc.

Sometimes it seems, also, that parts of the story don't get resolved and leaves the reader wondering what happened with this character, situation, etc. I don't have an example of that with this book, but next time I read one of his books, I'll have to write notes.

I know one book of his I read recently (don't remember which one) had a restaurant on Long Island (where I'm from) and in one chapter its in one town, and later in the story its in another. I guess the editor(s) missed this.

It's just an okay book....if you have nothing better to read.
