Local pricing was close to retail but with eBay, new ones can be found at less than half retail and at that price are a great bargain. excellent sound

These are amazing headphones, and for the money, a total steal. They produce a fun sound that while warm and bass rich, still covers the highs and mids very well. Their weakness may be with less electronic sounds and TV doesn't shine through them but for excitable music they're an absolute blast to listen to and they do a great job of giving the sound of a larger soundstage found in bigger cans. The design is stunning (I went with the White band HD's) clean and distinctive with the unique band and "Sound Engine" combo. They're certainly a looker. The band Is tough as all hell too, It's quite fun to remind yourself how far it'll happily bend from time to time too. The ear cushions are especially comfortable too. Extremely soft on the ears and keep in place nicely providing a great level of isolation. Not up to the level of noise-canceling, but I personally like to be a little aware of my surroundings.Read full review...
