Great quality, fantastic price, quick shipping
Very nicely made unit. I'm an aerospace machinist and I know a quality part when I see it. The fit and finish on this is incredible. Hard to believe how little they want for it. The cap and rotor has brass terminals. and there is very little end play on the shaft. The plug to connect it to power doesn't come with it but I got 2 of them for $8 off ebay. I can't speak to the longevity of the unit, but I'm super happy with my purchase.

Not for me
First off i can't get my OEM air filter canister on because distributors in the way. I guess that means buy a new breather set up? Secondly,i can't get it to run right had a hard time keeping it running dialing in proper timing mark with timing light. Got it best i could hooked vacuum line up it did pretty good so although a tad sluggish throttling I went with it I can't drive it without an air breather. Thirdly, I cranked it next day to move it to where it needs to be parked it cranked i backed out and as i was fixing to put it in drive to drive to parking area it died. I cranked and cranked finally grabbed some fuel poured it in carb throat still no crank winding and winding on my expensive to replace starter motor. I finally punched it to the floor winding and winding it started sputtering but let off starter it died did this 4 times. Finally i held pedal to floor it started muttering again trying to crank and i kept going with the started assisting it and after about 30 seconds of that it finally caught up and ran. So then i drove it and got it parked where it goes put battery charger on my battery that i just beat to death.Trying to sort what I'm gonna do about the air filter breather setup i just decided I'm gonna put a set of points in old distributor and go with that. I've got 2 sets of points and condensors I kept on hand just in case something happened. When people beg me to sell my car I always tell them it is the only thing i own that if nothing else cranks it will but for the first time it failed me with this HEI. Hope somebody else has better luck than I did i just threw hard earned well needed money out the window and I guess after a few sleeps the loss will be on back burner and I'll move on with life with my skeptical guard up a little higher in the futureRead full review...

Good price and it works great so far
engine starts better, runs smother and I even had to slow the idle. Others told me HEI ignition was that much better but I didn't believe them until I installed this one. Old ignition needed new points, condenser and I suspected a weak coil. To replace all that would have cost almost as much as this new HEI unit and would not have been nearly as good.
