Like any new guitar, it needs some attention to "finish work"
There's also the issue of the hump at the 12th fret where the neck joins the body but that's something you're going to find on most acoustic guitars.
The fret board and bridge are super dry and have never seen a drop of oil in their life - but there again; to be expected on a brand new guitar.

It came very well-packaged and detuned for shipping just as you would expect.
I only gave it 4 stars because there was no real setup done on this instrument before it was sold which is a poor practice in my opinion.

Get one before the price goes up!!

After retrieving box left at my gate 40 yards away, in a monsoon rain storm, thanks UPS!! I was not so optimistic about the contents. Fortunately, the inner box was not too wet. Now, the guitar itself is very nice! Tuned right up and plays well. Nice binding on body and neck. Frets are a little sharp on the ends but can be smoothed easily. No Nick's or cracks to be found. Compensated bridge as well! This RD80 is 10 times better than the 090 model. It's just heavy enough not to feel cheap. Has a good sound as well. Overall, a great guitar for anyone really, not just beginners/ hobby players. Well worth the $60 I paid for it, shipping included.Read full review...

No need for expensive " name brand "

I have several guitars in my collection and this one plays just as good as any of them... when it arrived packaging was intact and all was good....
The guitar after a set of new strings had a small fret buzz but was fixed with the truss rod...
Unless you're someone that plays on stage and plays for money in front of thousands and thousands of fans every night there's no reason to spend high-dollar on a hunk of wood that is going to dry, scratch, ding ,dent....
Budget-friendly Guitarss have came a long way in the years.... and don't let anybody tell you different save your money buy a budget-friendly guitar and make good music just like a high dollar unless you're a guitar SNOB you think you know everything about everything this guitar IS
Is for you....

Not for people with wide fingertips, but sounds good and well made.

Good construction and tone. This is my first guitar and I learned too late that the fretboard is quite narrow, 1 3/8 inches between E strings at the nut. I have short wide fingers so it is very difficult to get clear sounds from the strings, my fingertips don’t fit on the strings without touching adjacent strings. Hard to find a guitar with a 2 inch E to E string spacing. I’m trying to adapt since can’t afford another instrument. Otherwise it’s good. Seems to stay tuned. Read full review...

Nice inexpensive guitar

Great at this price point. Action can be adjusted down low with out buzz. Neck is straight and frets are fairly smooth. Great for a starter guitar are one to take camping and not worry about!!!

Cant complain for price

The guitar looks nice. The action is a little high. Cant play d and g on 12th fret. Sound is ok . .it sounds a little 'tinny'. Stays in tune for at least a day of playing. My daughter loves it. Great guitar for the money. If she breaks it or forgets about it . .no big deal.Read full review...

FAR better than expected

For a guitar made by a company, that doesn't have the best reputation, they hit this one out of the park! Everything abut it, is as good as anything I have played in recent years. Tone is excellent, finish is great, and with new strings, it's really a solid winner, from Rogue. With my Seymour Duncan "Woody" pickup, and played through my Boss Katana, it sounds fantastic, and has gotten MANY compliments.Read full review...

A super guitar at an incredible price!

This guitar was a replacement for a nylon stringed classical guitar. I was a bit hesitant as I have never played an acoustic with steel strings. No need to worry - it is great!!! Even at a higher price, I would have been very happy with the quality.

Well made, good balanced sound, keeps in tune, comfortable and happy.'

Good guitar for the price,

The price is right, the quality is good. Has no surface defects. Has the usual quirks, stiff tuner pegs, Sharp edge that digs into my knee when playing sitting down. Has narrow neck and fret bar ends are semi smooth.
Changed strings, sound improved. Good for a starter and lug about.
