Very Good all around work horse microphone

The NT2a has a relatively neutral sound signature.
Add to that the very low self noise, makes it ideal for capturing instruments or group performances from a distance.

It makes a decent vocal microphone, but I believe its strong point is more with acoustic instruments (personally).

I liked the one so much I bought a second one to make a stereo pair.
The second mic was so close in output and tonality, you would think it a Factory Matched pair.Read full review...

Decent mic

This is a solid pattern-control condenser recording mic at a great price. All three patterns sound good and are balanced with each other. A nice feature is that it has silent switching for all of the different modes so you can switch pattern, low cut, and attenuator without having to mute the channel. Great value mic, perfect for starting out

This mic does most everything as you'll see in product reviews. Different settings and rolloff and pads make it versatile and useful for a number of applications. I have bought a couple of mics before but never paid more than a couple of hundred. Spending a bit more, i paid 350, has landed me with a really good sounding mic and given me the desire to record myself more. Excellent mic

This was a replacement for one of my Rode NT2 pair which has gone bad 20 years ago. It works well, and gives me the familiar sound I have missed. The inner workings of the mic has changed a little. But I don't seem to hear the difference. I am happy with the purchase.Read full review...

It's just a Rode NT2a. I guess the times when Rode were hyped are over now. This is a pretty solid mic. And not so expensive used on Ebay. It sounds tons better than my NT1a. Might be that my wife's alto just comes out better, but whatever it is, don't buy the NT1a. Go for Audio Technica or one of the better Rodes instead.Read full review...

Simple, Clear and Multi-Functional

It is a superb mic for male rap vocals and acoustic guitar. I'm an independent musician who is fairly simplistic and uses mostly acoustic instruments. This mic is dynamic, crisp and clear. If I had the money I would buy another and use it for stereo recording. The low cut and db cut switches are great for deep vocals or guitar. I have yet to use it in omni or figure eight patter but I'm choral director for a group at school so I'll be testing that out use fairly soon.Read full review...
