Rit dye used to tint epoxy gelcoatw/metalflake

The problem was to dye the clear two-part epoxy mix to approximate the gelcoat black color finish on my Champion Boat. This is intended to patch scratches, dings and gauges on the bottom of the boat. It only required a couple of drops of Rit/black in 1-2 ozs of epoxy mix to get a close color match. The one application tip I can give is to stir the metalflake & epoxy mix often to keep the MF from settling to the bottom. Time will tell on durability .Read full review...

Good price, fast shipping, the product quality is my concern.

I follow instruction, dye then wash the first time with warm water, etc.... but my shirts turn into 80% black, not 100%, and everytime I wash it, the color fade away...

Worthwhile purchase

I wanted to renew a couple of my black shirts which were losing color from washing.

Can't go wrong with Rit

I dyed blue jeans into black and worked good. The brand has been around a long time so I know it works. Just follow directions and wear plastic gloves.

good stuff

check out there site for instructions. Different materials are dyed differently. Some can use hot water and others require boiling. Overall good stuff

dye black, but came out gray purple.

Dye one while T shirt and it came out to be gray purple. Look nice but not the intended color.
Dye one man pant (was black with a few faded out spot), the outcome is the same, no change at all. The faced out spot still look faded.

Not what expected...

I ordered 6 x black color... I used 1 bottle for 1 pair of Jeans... it's ok to refresh the already black color clothes but not for other colors... a grey pair of Jean's that I finally used 1 more bottle of paint, came out as a brown shade, not even that dark... I hope the paint will last a bit at least...Read full review...

Gets the Red Out !

Who washed a RED T Shirt with my CAMO Hunter Vest and CAMO Winter Coat. Oops, that was silly ol me. But, however , one bottle of this and my red camo is now Nite Ops Ready. No pink camo for rough necks. The black camo I created is Army Ranger Ready ! All OK Jump Master!Read full review...

Great product just not enough

It’s a real great product, the downfall is that it’s a small quantity for so much Money and you can even dye a lot of fabric

JUST AMAZING

so i dyed my shoes back to the original black just for somebody to step on them and get them dusty again.... i dyed my black jeans originally and just for them to fade again when i ironed them. but it is still a good product just watch how you take care of your clothes after applying the dye on there.Read full review...
