cute and hilarious.

The first thing I have to say about this game is that it's the funniest game I've ever played (maybe funnier than Disgaea !) You'll want to speak to every NPC just to hear them say something totaly hilarious ! The dialogues, and of course the story, are full of humor.

The game itself is rather easy, and it's a "classical" RPG, not a tactical. But if beating through the game isn't a problem, you'll probably want to level-up more than the four characters you use in battle, because you can have around fifteen puppets to fight at your side. And they're all cute :D

If you played Disgaea, you'll discover that Marjoly is originally from Rhapsody (and she'll make you cry of laugh more than one time. As well as the other characters...), you'll also discover the first Rosenqueen, and some other things (if you played Phantom Brave or La Pucelle, you'll recognize some characters or monsters too).

In the end, Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure is very good game that will make you spend a good time with a lot laugh. The only "flaw" can be it's lack of difficulty, but I hope it won't stuck you, because Rhapsody may not be the best game on DS, but it's probably the funnier ;)

More enjoyable than the first time, 9 years ago!

Last time I played this was over 9 years ago when it released on PS1. I wasn't to sure about it, but the art drew me in. Playing this time I am very pleased from what I remember as being different. Major plus is the Japanese voice cast for the songs. The English in the original, as would be expected, sucked. I am a huge supporter of video games as art, and not defiling art. By changing the language of a song, or spoken actors in it, you ruin the artists original idea thus desecrating the art. The game is much crisper than it was on PS1, and the loading times, naturally better. Can't tell if the story is retranslated or not, but it flows nicely, and makes sense. Apparently their are some new playable characters/puppets at the end, which I am looking forward to. If you haven't jumped on the NISA bandwagon, this being one of the earliest, if not the first, to reach our shores, you should start with this one. The art, and music and storyline will drag you away to a cutesy fantasy world with a brave heroine Coronet. A very good love story, appropriate for all ages. It is only a mere small testament of what NISA brings out in the future.Read full review...

Cornet Mad! Cornet Smash with Pancakes!

If you ever, EVER watched a Disney movie, then this game is absolutely perfect for you.

If you like a little bit of risque humor, this game is for you.

If you don't like music, love, or a witch who wears a g-string, this is NOT the game for you.

Rhapsody: A Musical adventure vaguely reminds me of pokemon in a sense, one of your main goals is to see every monster, and find every puppet. The game itself is not very long, I have it for the DS (so I might be a bit biased), and I am purchasing it for the playstation just because I enjoyed it so much.

The characters are heartwarming, the main protagonist : Cornet is absolutely adoreable and the typical shy girl who just wants to be with the man she loves. And then there's Etoile, the typical snobby 'doesn't really want to be but is' best friend, and Kururu, the best friend that always causes trouble.

The music is top notch, especially on the DS version. I was amazed by it, and slightly reminded of the classic Lunar Silver Star Story games as well.

I would reccommend this game to any and every little girl who likes a 'dream come true' fairy-tale type story.

Disney's got nothing on this, but, I love this game enough to babble about it to any and every person who's ever wanted to find their prince charming.

Oh, and attack a large group of monsters with dessert foods. (Pancake attack ftw!)
